Database Management Cases

I. My Own
With your current understanding and experience in your own department, unit, or
job, identify one opportunity for an application of a database. Opportunities can be
any of the following:

a. Manual processes for automation

b. Improvement from the current database scenario
c. Storage of data
d. Others that you deem necessary

Answer the following questions:

1. What is your chosen opportunity and why implement a database?

2. What data are necessary to store?
3. What processes are involved and improved if the database is implemented?
4. How do you think implementation of the database can help you in your chosen
job?
5. What features do you think are needed when end-users are to utilize the database
application?

Prepare a 3-5 slide presentation in answering the questions above. Introduce first the background
of your chosen opportunity and answer the questions.
