Draw an illustration about your experience when you personally faced a tradeoff. Below your
illustration, briefly discuss how you were able to come up with a decision. You can use any medium. (30
points)

BURGER AND BOOKS

Tradeoff is a balance achieved between two desirable but incompatible features , a compromise.

Because I am a student, I am forced to compromise in almost every situation. I faced similar dilemma
while I was in high school; I only had a limited amount of money at the time, but I was wanting pizza and
burgers, and I was hungry that day because we had just concluded our first semester's final examination,
and I believe I deserved to eat great meals. But I also need to get a book for the second semester; I
desperately required that book to prepare for the semester ahead. I can't decide between the two; it's
either the pizza and burger or the book. I need to make a decision quickly because I won't be able to
afford both. I used the Opportunity Cost principle to make a judgment. Even though I was starving at the
moment, I refused to eat and instead chose to buy a book, which I desperately needed.
