India is a large and a secular country consisting of many states.

Each
state has distinct languages, cultures and social practices. Still we
celebrate together in different ways. Such as in Assam it is Bhogali Bihu
and in Tamil Nadu it is Pongal and Makar Sankranti in Punjab. We
have different languages like Hindi, Bengali, Assamese etc. And there
are 15 recognized languages and hundreds of dialects. We have different
ethnic people in India. We have diversity of climates whereas we have
plains, hills, mountains, rainforests, deserts etc. We have different
religions living together. We have different cuisines, elegant dresses
such as Mekhela Chadar, Sarees, Lehengas and what not. And we also
have many beautiful dance forms originated from different parts of India
such as Bharatnatayam originated in Tamil Nadu, Kathak originated in
Uttar Pradesh, Kuchipudi originated in Andhra Pradesh and Sattriya
originated in Assam and many more. We also have many different folk
songs which are all unique in their own ways. Many people from other
countries also appreciates the diversity which India holds and this also
separates India from many other countries that even though all the
states of India are different from one another they still stay united in
diversity.
