Valmet’s inclined chain conveyor offers cost-efficient

transport of bales in pulper feed applications. A wide
range of options are available to suit the specific
requirements of your pulp receiving line.

Efficient bale transport
The pulper feed conveyor (PFCC) is a cost-efficient
solution for transporting single bales to a pulper. The
chain conveyor operates at an incline of 17° and its
spike roller chains are configured as 2 or 3 strands,
depending on the load and the bale quality.
Designed for flexibility
To ensure the highest degree of flexible operation, the
conveyor is designed to handle different capacities,
pulp qualities, bale weights and bale dimensions.
Optimise your conveyor
The conveyor is available in different lengths to fit
various pulper sizes. There is a wide range of options
to ensure a system fully configured to your needs.
Options for the chain conveyor include different
designs of bale limit switches and a service platform.

Safety features
The conveyors have sidewalls and the return part of
the chain is located inside the chain beams in order to
secure highest possible safty for the operators. A rope
pull safety switch runs along the full length of the
conveyor. When activated, it immediately stops the
conveyor. Valmet also offers a slat conveyor (PFCS) for
pulper feed applications, which can be used for both
single bales and broke paper.
