Dear TAs, please prepare 12 objective type questions, based on the experiments conducted by you.

First
5 questions need to be MCQ type questions, next 5 questions need to be MSQ type and the last two
questions will be NAT type. MCQ type questions have only one correct option. MSQ type questions have
more than one, but not all options as correct. NAT type questions have real number as the answer.
Template for the same is also attached. Please type in your question in the template only. While framing
the questions, please adhere to following guidelines:

a. 5 MCQ + 5 MSQ + 2 NAT type questions have to be prepared

b. MCQ questions carry 1 marks; MSQ questions carry 2 marks; NAT type questions carry 4 marks

c. The stem of the question should be clear in context. Don’t assume too many things. There
should be no ambiguity in the question or the options.

d. Take care of the units properly. The units should be clearly mentioned for any quantity given
and also the units for the answer should be clearly stated.

e. If you write equation, please use equation editor for clarity.

f. If needed you can add schematics for your question, ensure that the schematic is properly
marked and it is not ambiguous.

g. Avoid questions that are based on remembering unnecessary details eg. Melting point of this
element or modulus of that material, etc.

h. The questions should be meaningful and test the understanding of the students.

Regarding options, please ensure following

a. Don’t use options like “All of the above” or “None of the above”

b. Don’t put full-stop at the end of options, unless it is a complete sentence
