Traffic Jams

I. Most cities experience the current traffic problems. It is a major problem in

various places around the world and this obviously includes the Philippines and it
is truly prevalent in our capital, Manila. The first cause of this the adult population
is increasing and therefore more people want their own personal transport to get
around with even if the others don’t have a personal parking space and their
vehicles are just parked outside that makes another cause of traffic. Second cause
is the Road construction that’s also takes a lot of blame for causing traffic. Another
cause is rush driving of trucks and other heavy vehicles, sometimes technical
defeats in the machinery also cause accidents and that’s is another cause of traffic.
A. Traffic starts to get heavy on morning rush. It is caused by the crowding of
public transport to get to work, school, or any errands in the early morning. It’s the
part of the day which at its highest traffic congestion.
B. Traffic congestions on road is again on its peak on afternoon rush and will be
fully traffic in the evening. It’s caused by the vehicles going back home after
errands in morning. Mostly workers vehicles are the ones in the road.

II. Administrators have proposed solutions for traffic problem. First solution is
Adding bus to EDSA, the government believes that Metro Manila commuters
needs more buses for the soft flow of vehicles. Disadvantage of this is another
vehicle will be on the road. Advantage of this is more workers can get
transportation easily than before they’re waiting for so long just to ride to get to
work or to go back home. Since more vehicles on the road, one solution is to Build
a Subway system. Another solution is to Build an elevated EDSA and this idea was
proposed way back 2011.

A. More highways and lanes must be built in the city so that there is more space
for the vehicles to move. Small amount of time will be spend going to somewhere
or maybe the estimated time will be less.
B. Light Rails must be improved. One of the common justifications for investing in
light rails is its potential to reduce roadway traffic congestion, this problem would
be solved if this one is improved by the government. Big help to us and our
country if this issue is fully solved.
