ACTIVITY 3: REFLECTION
Reflect on the personal attributes of a professional teacher. Which of these do you have?
Don’t have? Any personal plan for your growth?

A professional teacher involves presenting the course material to learners in an engaging

manner while being on time. Acting and speaking professionally and appropriately, they’re
also the one who is constantly seeking out new information and wants to do everything in
their power to provide a positive learning environments for learners.

The personal attributes of a professional teacher I have are the passion to teach and
discover new things and ideas, the values and attitudes to guide the learners the right way of
being a learner and assess myself as well as the learners and lastly the commitment to teach
and be a good role model to learners and everyone around me.

The personal attributes I don’t have is I have a little patience for things so it's not easy
for me to keep up with others sometimes. I don't like those who are stubborn and don't
immediately follow orders or work, I'm also easily irritated by loud ones. Actually when I
was an elementary student my dream job was to become a teacher but that changed after I got
to high school because of what I observed around me. I see how patient my teacher is with
my classmates. I know that patience is one of the qualities you must have to be a teacher.
That's why I think I am not qualified to become a teacher. But now I'm able to adjust so I can
keep up a bit. The plan of growth I did was worth it, all I did was assessing my weaknesses,
Self-discipline is the key to improve your self. If you want to be better, trust yourself that you
can do what you need to do right.
