Pasko sa Pilipinas
*Ang kwentong ito ay tungkol kay Lester na isang batang pinoy ngunit lumaki sa englatera. Nag
bakasyon sila ditto sa Pilipinas upang ipagdiwang ang pasko. Sa kanilang pagdating, hindi akalain ni
Lester na ganito ang pasko sa Pilipinas.*

Scene 1 (Sa bahay ng lola ni Lester sa Nueva Vizcaya)

Lola: Eto na ba ang apo kong si Lester? Napakalaki na niya.

Mama ni Lester: Oo nay, si Lester na iyan. “Lester, go and bless to your granda”

*Nagtaka si Lester kung bakit niya kailangan gawin iyon, ngunit sinunod na lang ang kanyang ina*

Scene 2 (Misa de gallo)

Mama ni Lester: “Lester wake up, we need to attend a morning watch.”

Lester: “This early? Mom, I still need to sleep since this time difference is confusing me”

Mama ni Lester: “We have to attend this morning watch since it is a tradition that I missed doing for so
long since I moved to England. “So that’s why it’s very important for you to experience this.”

(napilitang bumangon si Lester at gumayak)

Scene 3 (Noche Buena)

*Si Lester ay naka tutok sa kanyang cellphone, samantalang ang mga pinsan niya ay magkakasamang
naglalaro*

Lola: Apo “why are you alone? Why don’t you join your cousins for you to know them, it’s only during
Christmas that they are here?”

Lester: “Do I really have to? Is it really that necessary for me to do it lola?”

Lola: “you know apo, Christmas is a time for bonding with your family that you haven’t seen for so long,
it’s also like a reminder that despite the distance, there will always be a time where you still have your
distant relatives”

*Sumang-ayon si lester at sinunod ang kanyang lola*

Scene 4 (Hapag kainan)

*nanlaki ang mga mata ni Lester sa dami ng pagkain sa hapag kainan*

Mama ni Lester: “Are you that surprised that you have seen a feast as big as this one?”

Lester: “Y-yes, um if I may ask, what are these kinds of food?”

*inisa isa ng mga ni Lester ang mga pagkain sa hapag kainan*

Lola: “apo, come here and try the lechon”

*lumapit si Lester at kumuha ng pagkain, at nakisama sa kanyang mga pinsan*

Scene 5

*Sa wakas napakasaya ang naging pasko ni Lester sa Pilipinas*

Lester: “I didn’t know that it was this thrilling to have to experience a different tradition that I’m usually
used to”

Mama ni Lester: “Yes anak, that is why I really pushed that we got to go home for you to experience
these kinds of things, I hope you really enjoyed it.

Lester: “Is it possible for us to come back?”
