Amitabha Chaterji is an Independent filmmaker from Kolkata, India.

His first feature film

‘Manohar & I’ got Best KR MOHANAN Debut Film Award in the International Film Festival of
Kerala 2018. He received the ‘Best Debut Film Award’ nomination in Jaffna International Cinema
Festival 2019 & also won prestigious ‘Best Feature Film Award’ in the Pondicherry International
Film Festival 2019. His debut film also participated in some prestigious international festivals like
SAN DIEGO ASIAN FILM FESTIVAL 2019, THIRD EYE ASIAN FILM FESTIVAL 2020,
DIORAMA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL 2019, INTERNATIONAL SHORT &
INDEPENDENT FESTIVAL DHAKA 2019 etc. He was a panelist in Art House Asia Film Festival.
He also made a documentary presentation on Birth Centenary of great Satyajit Ray on behalf of
Federation of Film Societies of India. His debut short film ‘Migratory’ world premiered in London
Indian Film Festival 2020.
