​MOTIVATION LETTER 

Subject: Motivation letter to apply for exchange program in ICYE Finland.

I am really happy and thankful to you to present my motivation letter in front of you. My name is
Nidhin Thomas , completed master in Tourism Administration. I was working as a tourism manager ,as
an Indian village boy with enthusiasm and eager to explore knowledge. I respect all culture and diversity
in lifestyle. I learn from all walks of my life interacting with nature and people. I trust in learning by doing
so all travelling and journey are window to my treasure of knowledge and reaching out to the needy.

My choice to get volunteer experience is not a sudden decision. it’s great reflection which I got
from life situations when I joined for MTA .My expectations and dream were same.So in order to make it
I really learned social commitment by working with the poor and needy for their up-progress. I got
opportunity to interact with different communities and serve them to make sustainable development
through involving welfare activities and being part of different organizations.

I believe that Volunteering in Finland will surely be an important intercultural learning experience for
me .It also helps me to learn Finnish lifestyle and different cultures – and also gaining a deeper
understanding cultural background. Through this ICYE programme am looking forward to a distinct
personal experience and knowledge. I have got working experience with UK people when i was working
as a tour coordinator in india and that were awesome exploration in different level. Even though that
was my first experience with different cultural settings I could prove my flexibility and adaptive nature
to the culture and life situations. I expect more challenging tasks in life so I choose finland
international exchange programme, and I am ready to share my experience , culture and future plans
with exchange organization.

I strongly believe that this opportunity will be a milestone in my career. And during this exchange year I
can learn and live in new cultural settings and widening my idea of universal brotherhood which
modeled by Swami Vivekananda, an Indian Philosopher. And I am excited about experiencing the
diversity and culture of finland , Awaiting to meet my host family.

I will be a promising personality in this field of social work if i can part of this programme. I
assure you, definitely this is a major step ahead to my passionate career of social service. This project
will decide my career and prepare me to make changes in way of planning and implementing my future.
I remember the word of Mother Teresa “yesterday is gone, Tomorrow has not come yet, we have only
today, Let us begin“.
