Introduction

Young children are allowed to use social media under their parents’ control and supervision.
Social media is an online platform for online social interrelationships and interaction. Some
famous social media companies are Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.

Social media is the most famous means of communication in today's time. It has also become a
key part of daily life today.

Most young children all over the world use any kind of social media to interact with their
friends, colleagues, and families. As well as knowledge and education.

Benefits of Social media

Social media is used to perform various types of activities. Today social media has increased so
much that we can sit in far away from a country, talk to our friends and families living in other
countries, and can interact with each other via text messages or video calling.

Nowadays, young children are running many types of knowledgeable video channels on
YouTube for education and knowledge, through which many young children can acquire
knowledge of any kind and share their knowledge with others.

Besides, social media knew the importance of programming. Which is important at this time for
young children.

Young children like social media because they can learn a lot while sitting at home as computer
skills, which is safer for them than playing outside on the street.

Drawbacks of Social media

Young children of today who are showing much interest in social media, their time wasted on
social media, not on learning.

Young children spend most of their time on social media sites chatting and video calls and
reducing their lifetime experience. In addition, young children have used social media a lot since
then, and diseases have increased in young children. It is because young children sit in front of
their computers and mobile phone for many hours.

They are too young to understand the dangers of the virtual world, so parents’ supervision is
mandatory to save them.

Lack of life activities. Playing, and physical activities young children face different health issues.
It also causes significant damage to the eyes of young children and makes a difference in their
intelligence.

Conclusion

In conclusion, social media have advantages and disadvantages, so we should stop using it for
fun too much. Because it wastes, young children’s time and affects our health. We have to use
social media for contacting our friends and for learning purposes.

Parents’ control over the use of social media for young children is what limits its disadvantages.
