I am glad to have
a speech with you guys. Today, I am going to talk about the BYOD scheme.

You may want yo know what is BYOD. Well, BYOD is a policy that let student bring
their own mobile computer devices to school for e-learning.

First, I would like to talk about the pros and cons of BYOD.

Some people support the BYOD scheme because it makes learning effective. Students
install some apps for their learning, such as e-textbook, google classroom. These
things can help a lot in the lesson, teachers are more convenient in teaching
students, and it will make learning more effective.

Also, some people think BYOD is better then use the book. With BYOD, the teacher
can give some homework and revision notes to the student by using an app like
google classroom. For students, they don't need to buy a notebook, they can drop
their notes on an iPad.Therefore, we can use less paper for schoolwork.

On the other hand, BYOD may have some disadvantages. The attention of the students
will be a very serious problem. If students can bring their iPad, they may not
focus on the lesson, but on their iPad.So it may be makes students' performance
worsen. So the attention of the students will be a problem caused by BYOD.

Moreover, running out of battery is also a problem. Imagine a student having a

lesson with his iPad, but the iPad is powered off, then how can he keep going on
the lesson? iPads are not paper, Although iPads can do much more things than paper,
they need the power to run, it not just a electronic equipment.

Those are the pros and cons of BYOD. Next, I am going to talk about ways to make
lessons fun using mobile computing devices.

First, the teacher can use some apps to have some activities. To make a Q&A contest
for the student. A comtest can always catch the attention and raise the interest of
students. So the student will enjoy the class and be active in the lesson.

Second, an online learning game in the lesson is a good way to make the lesson fun.
Everyone likes playing games, and there have many games that for learning and
playing on the internet. The teacher can find some online learning games and play
with students during the lesson to make the student more active and enjoy the
lesson.

The last, the BYOD is a good policy for us, if we use it normal, it can help us a
lot and make lessons become fun.
