1. Explain the Employee empowerment in your own words.

===Involved employees are asked for their input, but are not given ownership of their jobs.
Empowered employees are given ownership of the process and they are responsible for the
products or services generated by those processes.
So, for me, as a future employer it is important for growing a sustainable business. While many
companies may grow ground-up from the hard work and dedication of one or two entrepreneurs,
true growth is the product of multiple people working together. “Multiplying” yourself (as
opposed to a strict leader-follower mindset) multiplies your organization’s strength and
capabilities.
Empowering employees is a culture. It takes an increase in trust, clear communication, and
strategic delegation. To empower employees, consider the following, 1st is Deligate to develop,
Set clear expectations, Give employees autonomy over assignments, Provide necessary
resources, Give constructive feedback, Accept ideas and input, Communicate the vision of the
organization, and Recognize employees for hard work.

2.Explain what you have learned about the introduction of Communicate work roles in the
operations of the enterprise.
===The lesson that I’ve learned about the introduction of communicate work roles in the
operation of the enterprise is on how we’re going to communicate and plan properly our work in
terms of businesses. Like for Proper planning and Preparation, these are very essential for the
effective completion of work-based tasks. Whilst the nature of the hospitality industry means that
each and every day will be different with many varied and unexpected challenges that will arise,
this does not mean that you don’t need to have plans in place for how to effectively operate on a
day to day basis. So, Work plans are essential tools in developing a framework in which staff are
expected to operate. They are normally detail what needs to be achieved, expected standards of
performance and how to go about achieving these objectives. Staff must have some vision or
intended course in which to follow. Whilst work plans are important, it does not mean that staff
cannot deviate away where required. Staff must still be flexible and adapt to challenges and
demands that come their way. However, in this way they have a communicate work roles in
operation of the enterprise.
3.Differentiate between the operational information and financial information.
=== The difference between these two information is that, Financial information/reports track
how much money your business is making and how you are spending that money, as of a specific
period in time. As a business owner, you obviously want to know this information. However,
there are additional stakeholders or potential stakeholders that may need to know this
information as well, such as investors or creditors. Examples of various financial reports are a
balance sheet (which summarizes a company’s assets and liabilities), an income statement
(which indicates how much profit a company generates), and a cash flow statement (which
shows a company’s sources and uses of cash). Financial reports show historical data, but they
provide insight into how a business spends its profits, whether they are reinvested into the
business, and whether the company can sustain future growth.
While operational information/reports provide business intelligence on how efficiently a
company performs. These reports allow companies to evaluate its current and future financial
situation. With the correct systems and tools in place, operational data can be tracked real-time
so that businesses are able to react and adjust their practices effectively. Business owners should
review operational reports daily. These reports can vary by industry. Restaurants may need to
track average time per table/meal, whereas hotels may need to track occupancy rates. Actions
taken by business owners resulting from this garnered business intelligence can have an
immediate, dramatic impact on productivity and ultimately profitability.
4. Discuss 7 characteristics of teams.
=== There are 7 characteristics of teams namely; 1. Clearly Defined Expectations. 2) The
Importance of Selflessness in Teamwork. 3) Many Opinions, One Goal. 4) Encourage Open
Communication. 5) Why Flexibility Matters. 6) Constructive Conflict Drives Innovation. And
Lastly, 7) Many Voices, But One Message.
So, 1st characteristics that I will discuss is Clearly Defined Expectation. “This involves
determining and communicating the organization’s performance expectations for the team in
such a way that they are broken down into tangible, comprehensible pieces.”
2nd characteristics is The Importance of Selflessness in Teamwork. In order to truly become a good
team, each member must put aside their own personal agendas and work toward the common
goal, whatever it may be. This is what we are talking about when we say Selflessness.
3rd Characteristics is Many Opinions, One Goal. Another important aspect of any good team is
individuality. You see, one can be both selfless – working as part of a team towards the common
goal – and an individual. Take a soccer team, for example. Each member is unique, and was
brought onboard for a specific reason. It would be pretty disastrous if every member of the team
was exactly alike. After all, it’s tough to win a game with 11 goalkeepers, 11 defenders, or 11
strikers. You need a diverse group – strikers, midfielders, forwards, and, of course, a goalkeeper.
Many individuals working together for a common goal.
4th Characteristics is Encourage Open Communication. Communication plays an important
role in every aspect of business, taking many forms like written, verbal, and nonverbal. The
ability to communicate clearly is critical, and yet it is something that many companies take for
granted.
5th Characteristics is Why Flexibility Matters. Being flexible is a key trait of any team player,”
according to America’s Job Exchange, a company specializing in online recruitment advertising
and OFCCP compliance.
6th characteristics is Constructive Conflict Drives Innovation. The best way to grow as a team
and foster creativity and innovation is through conflict – constructive conflict. This can be a
difficult stage to go through, but this is also the point where real teamwork
and communication begin to develop. Team members start to settle into their individual roles and
learn to put aside their differences and listen to opposing viewpoints in order to solve problems
as a unit.
And lastly the 7th characteristics is Many Voices, But One Message. With any team, unity or
teamwork is important. It is what allows a team to run like a well-oiled machine and achieve
success. As the title of this section says, “Many Voices, But One Message.” Without such unity,
your team – ANY team – is doomed for failure. This is perhaps never more important than in the
workplace, where you throw a group of unrelated individuals together and expect them to easily
communicate and work together to achieve a common goal. In fact, according to Talent
Management, 86% of employees blame lack of collaboration for workplace failures. So, it is up
to senior leadership to breed unity, encourage collaboration, and ensure the team works together
and not against itself.

5. Define the Two (2) Classification of Allocation of Work Requirements in your own words.

=== Position allocation. Is the process used to assign individual positions to a job classification.
It is initiated by the employer when there is a:
o New or vacant position
o Reassignment of duties
Proper allocation supports.
 Integrity of the classification system.
 Appropriate use of state funds.
 Pay equity for employees performing the same body of work.
