Processing Questions:
1. Based on the story of Teacher Jaime, what motivates a person to volunteer?
What motivates a person to volunteer is their will to help others.
2. How is volunteerism during a time of pandemic different from volunteerism
during normal circumstances?
Volunteerism before and after pandemic is different generally because it’s harder
now that there is a pandemic because everything is limited. A lot of establishments
were closed down so a lot of people lost their jobs and had no way of earning
money. Transportation also became a big problem because even jeeps and tricycles
weren’t allowed to “pasada.”
3. How can you encourage others to volunteer in the midst of a crisis situation
such as this pandemic?
I can encourage others to help amidst the crisis we’re facing by sharing the
knowledge I have about it to them. I may not have a way to help others physically
because of my personal limitations but I can always use online platforms to spread
the word and help those who are in need.
