1. CREATE A PRODUCT / A NEW CONCEPT
• What do people need?
• What is the product for?
• Why should people buy it?

2. DEFINE A MARKETING STRATEGY FOR YOUR PRODUCT

3. DEFINE YOUR TARGET MARKET

a. Who is going to buy the product? (Youngsters, old people, middle-aged, male,
female, high-class, middle-class, …)
b. For what reasons? (Convenience, price, quality, style, status,… )
c. Identify the advantages and disadvantages of your product in comparison with
similar products (if available). Spot the differences.
4. CREATE AN ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN (Also see ADVERTISING)
• Create a trade name for your company, and a logo.
• Create a trademark (brand name) and a slogan for your product.
• Create the necessary types of advertising (poster, flyer, ad, commercial, jingle…)
