We have a block of rooms reserved at the Embassy Suites, Washington Square in Tigard. For any "newbies" this is about 15 minutes from the fields. Great hotel, kids (and parents) have a blast. Rate for a king room (king bed) plus (queen) sofa bed in a 2-room suite is $94. Thanks to Kathi Cooley for her negotiation skills (they originally were asking $106. Double rooms are no great break ($124) but available. Phone number is 1-503-644-4000. This block is only being held until May 20th, so book soon.

Player Shout-out
At the request of a couple of parents on the Black Team, wed like to give kudos to Daryia Tagg. She has been stopping lots of shots and has had a great few weeks. It seems like shes becoming a leader in communicating well to the other players. It's fun to see the defense at the goal. Way to go Daryia! Keep up the great work!

Snohomish Jamboree
End of Season Jamboree is May 22 (apparently there has been some confusion). We will be relining the fields (new arrangement) starting this coming weekend. As in Lesleys email, we will need help! Details to follow. Also to follow is a jamboree volunteers sign-up. Positions will include parking enforcers (orange vests and all!), registration table, central horn, etc. Coach expects you all to step up and put some time in. This event is HUGE. The largest ever in the Washington girls lacrosse history- let's make it a great one! And I'll tell you one thing- if I get stuck behind a table selling things again because no one else would do it, you will have one unhappy coach! (Coach Lesley)

Schedule Information
Game schedules may change from time to time, and you may have different days/times/teams than what I report in the Newsletter. I do look-up the schedule before sending the Newsletter, but when in doubt, you can always double-check the schedule (I recommend it!) at www.sportability.com/spx/Leagues/League.asp?LgID=26942 They will ALWAYS have the most current information on the teams schedules.

Volunteers needed for this weekend

This weekend, well need a Sideline Manager for Saturday for each team. (2 volunteers) For Sunday, well need a full group for the Black and Red Teams games 4 volunteers - because it is a home game. (Timer, 2 Scorekeepers (one keeps stats) and Sideline Manager.) We also will need a full group for the Tuesday evening Red Team game. Some positions for these games have already been filled, but if you are able to help out in any capacity, please contact Norma Kvarda.

Practices
Tuesdays practice will be at Harvey Field from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursdays practice will be at Harvey Field from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM *Please keep your eyes open for email updates in case these locations and times change or are cancelled due to weather or poor field conditions.
