For example,if we think of a caterpillar, the words you could use to describe it as follows:

What Is Poetry?

A poem is a snapshot of a feeling, the same way you might use Snapchat to
capture a picture or video of a moment that you really like. Often people
write poetry to express deep emotions like love or admiration or to purge
feelings of loneliness
Poetry can be a wonderful a way to express your feelings
I Am Poem

I am poems are an exploration of the poet. This

might be an exploration of their character, likes, or
even family.
To write an I am poem, you need to be ready to talk about yourself
and who you are. You might use imagery words to define yourself
or to illuminate descriptive personal traits.

While you might use an I am poem to talk about yourself, you can
also create them about a hypothetical or imaginary character.

I Am…
by Pepper C.

Me, I am like a shooting star,

everyone cannot miss me,
I stand out with my hair and eyes,
clothes and words,
yet I do not stand out in a bad way,
I stand out as a shooting star, a wonder to all.
Me, I am like a magnet,
always pulling things close,
in this case people. Me, I am me,
I will never release what I grasped, like a shooting star, like a magnet,
I have many friends and family I love, I stand out.
I pull like a magnet, never letting go. I always accept a friend,
I’m special in my own way,
I’m kind and love everything,
I stick out, and am a wonder to all
Me, I am me, no mystery.
