The world requires commitment... let's all support

I am Benito Hernández Pabón, I study in the Environment and Sustainable Develop class; today I

want to leave a very valuable message about the power that human beings have on Earth and

have not been able to develop, because due to their mismanagement of life they are destroying

the planet, it is impossible to know that there are people who do not think in the future. That is

why the Sustainable Development Goals have been stipulated; topic that I really like to discuss at

this time.

Since September 25, 2015, a group of world leaders adopted a set of global goals to eradicate

poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all shares of a new agenda, known as the

2030 Agenda, which includes 17 goals of sustainable development (SDG) established by the

United Nations Organization. Each of these goals has specific goals to be achieved in the next 10

years.

To achieve this, from the UN they assure that “everyone has to do their part: governments, the

private sector, civil society, etc. The creativity, knowledge, technology and financial resources of

the entire society are needed to achieve the SDGs in each context.”

Today we will address two of the first SDGs

1. End of Poverty: different unions have been contributing to improve this issue of putting an end

to poverty, an example of this is Envera has been working since 1977 to achieve the full

integration of people with disabilities through employment, which is undoubtedly the best social

policy to end poverty. We give stable and protected work to more than 850 people with
disabilities, being for many the only possible job opportunity and, in some cases, the only

economic income for the family.

2. Zero Hunger: taking into account that if there is work, this hunger rate will drop significantly;

This is how, thanks to stable and protected employment, people can access the necessary

resources to live, contributing to their social well-being and improving their quality of life and

that of their families.

I hope from our homes to begin to carry out this beautiful task, to begin with giving and

contributing to the change that transforms the universe, beginning with the attitude of each one

of us, impacting the family and the family to society, which ultimately will change the world.
