School Health Programs

Schools play a critical role in the development of the skills that young people need to do their

jobs more successfully and healthily. To do this, create initiatives that will assist kids in making

health-related decisions, such as school health programs. They are among the best methods a

nation may employ to stop serious social and medical issues. The school is the second-most

important institution after the family because it gives children the experiences they need to grow

up to be responsible, productive, and healthy adults.

Discussion of the Authors’ Position in the Article

The authors of the article argue that health programs are important since they are essential for

promoting healthy behaviors and improving academic achievement. They also note how much

less likely children who participated in school-based life skills training programs are to use

drugs, highlighting the significance of school health programs for teenagers.

My Opinion Regarding the Author's Viewpoint

According to Onuoha et al. (2017), today's adults' and kids' health is closely tied to the health-

related behaviors they choose to adopt. Some of the health-related behaviors covered in the

article include the use of nicotine, alcohol, and other drugs, eating unhealthily, engaging in

sexual activity that can result in unintended pregnancies, HIV, and other sexually transmitted

infections, as well as a lack of physical activity.
