1.The moon is faithful, although blind.

PERSONIFICATION-it is personification because the ‘faithful’ and ‘blind is one of the human
abilities and by describing moon by using it we can call it personification.

2.The children are sleeping softly in their bedroom bunks.

Rhyme-because of the ‘sleeping softly’ and ‘bedroom bunks’.

3.They chained themselves to subways for the endless ride from Battery Park to the Bronx
Hyperbole-the sentence use ‘chained themselves' because of the long ride which is being exaggerated.

4.Time is a green orchard.

Metaphor-it is because it compared the time in a green color which is different things but they have
something in common.

5.At dusk there’s a thin haze like cigarette smoke / ribbons.

Simile-because it use ‘like’ as a comparison
