MURDERERS AND THIEVES

The worst disease that country is facing right now that is killing thousands of Filipinos
every day is not the global pandemic but traitors in the government that practices corruption.
Corruption is the greatest enemy of democracy. It like a snowball that once it’s set rolling it
increases. Our ignorance to corruption is the power of those criminals. There is nothing that
is more than vicious to society than a government that is incompetent, inefficient, and
corrupt. Our duties as the people are to challenge and end corruption. Their power must not
corrupt the Filipino people we corrupt their power in betraying public trust.

According to transparency international the Philippines in terms of corruption has a


score of 34 115th out of 180. The Philippines according to trading economics is averaging
94.77 % from 1995 until early this year. Corruption is roots of all the social and economic
adversities that the country is facing. In research conducted by transparency international it
was concluded that corruptions cause a corrosive impact on growth and business operations
which causes inflation. Corruption affects the quality, quantity, cost, and profitability of
investments. It is costly for companies as well that might to increase the unemployment rate.
This illegal acts of our leads to a biased tax systems that affects income distribution a primary
contributor of income distribution above all this corruption is weakens the overall
governance, institutional environment and undermines state legitimacy and the rule of law.

Having all these facts presented it proves that corruption is primary cause of all the
diseases that the society has like, human right violation, unfair and power praising justice
system and weak educational system. However, it is important for us to remember that we
should never allow these criminals to continue in abusing us. The greatest thing we can do
the end this is to exercise our power to vote let us use this power to create a change in
society, but that change must start within us by choosing wisely and objectively in the
upcoming national elections. George Orwell once said that “People who elects corrupt
politicians, impostors, thieves and traitors are not victims but accomplices.” To save our
country and the Filipino people we must act now united as a nation to fight and eliminate
corruption the greatest and most powerful disease in humanity.
