JANUARY EXAM

I consider this didactic unit very appropriate to work with children so that they can learn
about them, their characteristics, etc. It is also very important because we teach children
that they are also living beings and we must respect them.

First of all, the objectives, contents and activities, I consider that they fit the directed age,
4 years, because at this age, they already have a certain relationship with them, they know
many and can learn many new things about them, their characteristics, tell anecdotes that
they have had with animals, etc. In addition, the planned activities, I would carry out all
of them because it seems to me that they fit the objective that is pursued, identify the
animals and their characteristics and know the natural environment. Also, the resources
and material are appropriate for a good understanding of the language, because various
materials are used such as support with images and toys to give symbolic use, something
very important in children. I would like to emphasize that, ending the session sharing
opinions of the colleagues and finally with a song seems to me a very appropriate way
since we synthesize with the theme. The role of the teacher is very appropriate because
he is always present and figures with examples, capturing the attention of the students so
that they remain motivated in the activity. Finally, as for the rubric, I would not change
anything because it is very complete and all the aspects that are to be evaluated in the
development of this unit are clearly reflected.
On the other hand and in terms of weaknesses, it would include more objectives and
content to develop because we can work more objectives to fulfill such as developing
collaboration strategies so that we could include an activity in which, using class toy
animals, see if they are involved in participation and collaboration, for example. As for
the session, I would start with an introductory activity as you have done, but including
something related to animals since there is no use of the theme. In addition, it would
change the order of two activities, since first it would make a calmer one such as
describing the favorite animal and then imitating an animal and guessing it.

To conclude, this didactic unit of animals has been very interesting and appropriate for
children because it not only focuses on linguistic competence but also on the integral
development of children.
