Chapter-5&6 Discussion

In the world of science and research we usually accept knowledge based on three criteria.

In your own words explain these three criteria:” reproducibility, completeness, objectivity.

The knowledge we usually accept through the three criteria i.e reproducibility, completeness and

objectivity are explained in an imperative way. According to my perception reproducibility is the

independent attempts which we are giving to complete any task but each time the result will be

same as we give multiple attempts. Completeness means that all the methods and tricks which

we are trying to complete any task are clear and open and nothing hidden or closed which is

doing the activity. In the same way objectivity is the way which provides us focus on the targets

through quality and do not consider any favoritism or any other closeness while performing the

activity.

What are the 4 sections of the Presumptive Knowledge? Explain each and give at least one

example for each.

The four sections of the presumptive knowledge are axioms, law or theory, assumptions and

postulates. Axioms are the universally accepted rules and concepts which will be valid and true

for example, the whole is greater than its parts and components. Law demonstrate that what is

the relation or process or what will be doing in such a situation and this is also an accepted and

valid for example, evolution process. Assumptions are the something which we are trying to

assume for the task completion and that assumes will not be proved perfect or might be true for

example, If you wear glasses, folks might assume you're a nerd, even when that's not the case.

Similarly, a postulate is the process of suggestion or assuming is true and considered the basic

for belief and reasoning or discussions for example, every line containing two points.
What are the 3 sections of the Stipulative Knowledge? Explain each and give at least one

example for each.

The three sections of Stipulative knowledge are fact, conversion and definition. Now they are

explained one by one as fact is the real statement and do not have any chance of wrong statement

for example two and two makes four. An organized set of rules, guidelines, social norms, or

criteria, frequently in the form of a custom, is referred to as a convention, for example, rules

formed about comma placement while writing. Similarly, a definition is an explanation of what a

phrase means and which do not conflicts with the facts, for example all those things which move

and grow are called living things.

What are the 3 sections of the Conclusive Knowledge? Explain each and give at least one

example for each.

The three sections of the conclusive knowledge are results, conclusion and theorem. Result is the

outputs which we derive from any experiment regarding any activity for example; using 4.5

capacitor for roof fan gives extra speed and finally burnt. Conclusions are the statements which

we made on the basis of results for example not to use more than 3.5 capacitor for roof fan.

Similarly, a theorem is an instance of a universal principle that constitutes it as a component of a

broader theory. For example, Pythagoras Theorem is the component of major triangular

theorems.
