South Asia Archive is a major collection of books and journals. It contains over 4.

5
million pages and is used by more than 800 academic institutions around the world.
Previously offered by Taylor & Francis, the collection is now available exclusively from
Coherent Digital on the Commons platform as a purchase of perpetual rights.

The newly developed Commons platform has a suite of tools with innovative features.
Users can upload files quickly and make them available to other users; create automatic
summaries; extract CSV files from tables; enhance metadata; and otherwise enrich the
archive. The platform is the engine behind Policy Commons, Mindscape Commons, and
other Coherent databases.

Stephen Rhind-Tutt, President at Coherent Digital, said, "South Asia is home to about a
quarter of the world's people, yet most libraries have relatively little content from the
region. This database helps address that imbalance. We look forward to partnering with
the South Asia Research Foundation and others in South Asia to create additional
resources."

Existing subscribers to the Taylor & Francis version of South Asia Archive can find out

About Coherent Digital
Coherent Digital was founded in 2019 by industry veterans Stephen Rhind-Tutt, Toby
Green, Eileen Lawrence, Pete Ciuffetti, and others. We find important content and make
it useful--so researchers can do their work, educators can teach, scholars can publish,
and organizations can disseminate their knowledge to a global audience. Through
Coherent, information is saved, uniquely tagged, stabilized, and made discoverable.
