Welcome Message
Dear friends and colleagues,
The COVID-19 pandemic has been a long challenge for us. Our communication has been limited by social
distancing, crowd avoidance, and less mobility. However, it is not an obstacle for us to deliver you updated knowledge in
cardiovascular diseases. On behalf of the Indonesian Heart Association Organizing Committee – Bandung Chapter, in
collaboration with The Department of Cardiology and Vascular Medicine, Padjadjaran University, we are delighted to
invite you to attend our virtual Bandung Cardiovascular Update (BCU) 2022, which will be held on June 30 – July 3 2022.

Under the theme of “Call to Action : From Theory to Practice about Cardiovascular Issues”, this congress will
provide you an excellent opportunity to advance the knowledge, expertise, and skill for all health care professionals,
most importantly during this pandemic, who involve in cardiovascular care and comorbidities. We will be featuring
innovative and diverse educational opportunities with multidisciplinary approach to provide an up-to-date overview
about diagnosis and management of complex cardiovascular cases.
This congress will incorporate symposiums and workshops. The symposiums will
consist of plenary sessions, which are collaborating with world heart failure experts and will

present current guidelines. There will be a new session, “bring interactive case", that has
never been presented in any symposium before, where a real case from the audience will be
discussed and solved by the consultants.
Some of the workshops will be held offline to enhance the quality of the knowledge
transfer, that has buried in the last two years due to virtual only sessions throughout the
pandemic.

1. Case must be submitted to the committee before April 30 , 2022.

2. This year's theme for Bandung Cardiovascular Update (BCU) 2022 is: “Call to Action: From Theory to Practice about
Cardiovascular Issue”. The following topic including :
Cardiovascular prevention and rehabilitation
Heart Failure (HFrEF, HFmrEF, HFpEF)
Cardiomyopathy (Ischaemic DCM, Non-Ischaemic DCM, Infiltrative-CM)
Acute Cardiovascular Care (ACS, AHF, Pulmonary Embolism, Emergency HT)
Cases from all the topic of Cardiovascular Disease
3. The submitted case must follow certain case format (see below) to be accepted.
4. Case submission will be done through https://bcu.perkibandung.com .
All submitter should be verified at least as symposium participant of BCU 2022 to be able to finalize their submission.

5. Accepted case will be announced via email in June 2022.
6. Participants with accepted case for “Bring Your Interactive Case” are expected to join our technical meeting for the
preparation of presentation. (further notification will be implied).
7. The winners will be announced on July 3 , 2022 on BCU event, and will be granted the following prizes :

8. The final decision of the chosen case presented on our session will be scientific committee's authority.

Case Format
Bring Your Interactive Case

1. The case is submitted in the power point format (.ppt/.pptx), power point template can be downloaded on BCU
website in “Download” section.
2. The first slide of the presentation must contain the title of the case, the full name of the author (without a degree),
the origin of the institution/affiliation.
3. The case consists of a maximum of 10 slides. The case is written in English/Bahasa.
4. Participants must include their email address and mobile phone number that can be contacted at any time in the
first slide of presentation.
5. Put a title on each slide.
6. The presentation should be furnished in the default Wide Screen slide size (16:9).
7. Include only essential information. List key concepts, not full sentences.
8. Presentation must include anamnesis, physical examination, supporting examination (ie: ECG, Chest X-Ray. Echo,
Laboratory, etc.), and management.
9. Maximum duration of presentation is 10 minutes.

4. Submitted abstracts have not been published in any journals.
5. The submitted abstract must follow certain abstract format (see below) to be accepted.

Abstract Format
1. The abstract is submitted in the format of A4 paper size, vertical layout in a pdf format, with a maximum size of 1 MB.
2. Font: Calibri, Size: 11.
3. Typography guidelines: justify text is recommended (align right and left). 1.5 line spacing.
4. The font size of the title and subtitle is larger than the text (using bold), with Sentence case format.
The top part of the abstract must contain the title of the research/case report, the full name of the author/researcher
5. (without a degree), the origin of the institution/affiliation in the form of citations.
The abstract consists of a maximum of 250 words (excluding title, name of the author, affiliation, and subtitle). Figures or
