Time Management Signals

Stop Clock – raise one hand with open palms

Start Clock – one hand raise and dropping the raised hand.

Full Timeout – two arms spread to the sides forming a “T” shape.
 

Thirty Second Timeout – place both hands on top of the shoulders with elbows out.
Jump Ball –both thumbs pointing upwards with arms extended.

Substitution – Cross forearms


Basketball Foul Signals
Player Control Foul (Charge) – One hand on the back of the head

Hand Check – grab palm and forward motion

Blocking – both hands on hips


Holding – grab the wrist

Pushing – imitate push


Intentional Foul – both arms above the head and cross them.

Technical Foul – form “T”, showing palms

Double Foul – both hands in fists, extended out towards the sides.
Illegal Hand Use – both hands in front of waist level and grab the
wrist

Basketball Violation Hand Signals


Traveling – rotate fist

Carrying or Palming –flipped over from palm up to down.


Double Dribble – patting motion with palm

Three Seconds – arms extended, show 3 fingers

Five Seconds – show five fingers


Ten Seconds – show ten fingers

Kicking the Ball – point to the foot


Hand signal Indicators

 Two Point Basket Scored – 2 fingers, flag from wrist

Three Point Basket Scored – extended both arms showing 3


fingers
Counting – counting while moving the palm

Basket Does Not Count – Scissor-like action with arms, once across
chest

Bonus Free Throws –extend both of his arms out then move one
up and down.
Lane Violation – wave arm parallel to the boundary line
