PREFACE
I will discuss my experiences from my internship term in this report. A summary of the internship
company and the activities, duties, and projects I worked on during my internship are included in the
internship report. As I write this report, I'll also discuss and reflect on the learning objectives and
personal objectives I established for my internship. I wanted to present a synthesis of theoretical
frameworks and strategies for applying them in the commercial world when I put this paper together.
I have made an effort to understand the connection between theoretical and practical knowledge. I
have made an effort to reconcile theoretical presumptions with real-world requirements. We continue
to engage in theoretical learning, with academic success as the major goal, for the entirety of our
academic career. The only way to have a thorough understanding of the contemporary business
world is by the practical application of fictitious concepts that we acquire through our academic
pursuits. Organization and departmental studies are the topics of this project.
I make a sincere effort to discuss the subject of marketing and to pinpoint the target market for the
product in this report. While first attempting to provide a broad overview of this subject. My efforts
and everyone else's sincere cooperation came to a successful conclusion.
vii
Acknowledgement
I would like to express my heartily thankfulness to Megha Woraah, founder and CEO who gave me
the chance of doing my summer training in Talentserve PVT. LTD.
I feel great pleasure in submitting this report as part of MBA studies. The training has helped me in
acquiring valuable knowledge regarding applicable of theoretical knowledge and has also helped me
to caster my path.

1 Chapter 1 – Industry Study
1.1.1 Introduction
It is to be believed that the global e-learning market will increase by USD 147.7 billion
between 2021 and 2025, a 16 percent compound annual growth rate (CAGR). This growth
can be attributed to online learning becoming a more important part of corporate training
and development, as well as improvements in the academic learning process. The adoption
of e-learning for government and academic programmes has been facilitated by the
availability of e-learning technology, cost savings due to centralized content, time
management, flexibility and convenience, and content delivery uniformity. As a result, the
e-learning market is predicted to develop at a rate that is several times that of traditional
classroom learning.

1.1.3 Economic aspects
While online education is clearly advantageous to students, the question of whether the
expansion in online courses and student enrolment in e-learning is good to the economy
remains unanswered.
It goes without saying that the expansion of online courses transforms traditional
educational approaches and creates a new commercial sector, resulting in more jobs for
online teachers, web developers, and administrators. So, what effect does it have on the rest
of the economy? Employers are more ready to hire graduates as online courses become
more prevalent. E-learning is gradually replacing traditional education, resulting in a bigger
number of online-educated students, which could lead to a boom in the economy.
Flexible learning options, cost-effectiveness, and economic development are just a few
of the factors that have influenced the online learning process. Online courses have a great
deal of potential to improve and transform the educational process while also benefiting the
economy. Because it is less expensive and more flexible, online education is becoming
increasingly appealing to students.
3
1.2 – Growth and Evaluation of Industry in India
The E-Learning Market is expected to grow at a 20% CAGR from 2022 to 2028, surpassing
USD 315 billion in 2021.
The industry's growth will be fueled by increased internet penetration around the world. The
growing telecommunications and broadband industries have boosted the availability of low-
cost internet connectivity services. The International Telecommunication Union (ITU)
estimates that roughly 4.9 billion people worldwide will access the internet in 2021, up from
4.1 billion in 2019. More people will be able to access e-learning systems to learn courses or
complete degrees as the number of internet users grows.
The COVID-19 pandemic boosted the revenue of the e-learning business. Corporates have
been pushed to embrace work-from-home techniques to continue everyday operational tasks
as employee safety concerns have grown. This has posed obstacles for businesses in terms
of training, communication, progress tracking, and upskilling, fueling demand for e-learning
platforms among large corporations and small businesses. Several organizations are
concentrating on building personalized learning solutions to meet the rising demand. In
April 2021, for example, LinkedIn Corporation announced plans for an online site for
businesses to educate their employees with training videos and resources on topics like
management strategy and machine learning.
Demand in the corporate segment is being driven by factors such as rise in demand for
social learning tools such as Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube and developments in Web 2.0
technologies; increased adoption of integrated talent management solutions such as
recruiting, performance and succession management, learning management and
compensation management; declining costs of communication and technology; geographic
dispersion of employees; and need to continuously develop technical skills and abilities and
the need to train large number of employees to ensure greater economies of scale.
The India service providers sector is expected to increase by roughly 30% between 2022 and
2028, owing to enterprises' increasing focus on diversifying their portfolios. The rapid
outbreak of coronavirus, which forced schools and institutions to close, has increased the
need for alternate online solutions to keep classroom sessions going. As a result of this
factor, corporations have increased their R&D efforts in order to create novel products to
meet the growing demand.

1.3 E-learning Industry Analysis – Michael Porters Five Force Model
1.3.1 Introduction
Porter's Five Forces is a strategy for determining an industry's vulnerabilities and strengths
by identifying and analysing five competitive forces that define every business. A five-force
analysis is widely used to define corporate strategy by identifying an industry's structure.
Porter's model can be used to understand the amount of competition within an industry and
improve a company's long-term profitability in any sector of the economy. Michael E.
Porter, a Harvard Business School
professor, is the creator of the Five Forces model.
Typical consumers will exercise extraordinary caution when selecting an LCMS supplier
due to the strategic importance of such a decision as well as the influence on the
organization's infrastructure. When the buyer is a large, global competitor, the purchasing
decision must take into account a number of internal factors. As a result, the LCMS supplier
is put under a lot of stress. Another indicator of somewhat strong buyer power is the
comparatively small size of current LCMS suppliers.
Talented professionals with programming and system development skills are among the
suppliers to eLearning providers. Due to the difficulty of locating these individuals, they
have more bargaining power. Hardware and technology (servers, routers, and computers)
required to construct LCMS platforms are also inputs. Competitors can simply access the
majority of these inputs.
Students should conclude that competition will be fierce because of the low hurdles to entry,
especially for a company like Microsoft, and the fact that the competitors are now tiny and
equal in size. While differentiation is possible, in a fast-paced industry, an advantage can
swiftly fade. There will be fierce competition to stay ahead of the competition by providing
high-quality comprehensive solutions that, if selected by a select few famous purchasers,
can provide a significant advantage.
It will be fierce rivalry for top talent, and purchasers will be quite picky when it comes to
choosing between providers.
Organizations intending to enter the market face significant challenges in acquiring the
requisite intellectual and financial capital. However, other significant companies (including
Microsoft) have expressed interest in this industry and have established contacts with
present competitors, making their entry more likely.
1.3.7 Conclusion
The most powerful competitive force is definitely rivalry, which is aided by low barriers and
reasonably strong buyer power, resulting in a market with fairly intense competition that
will intensify. This should put downward pressure on competitors' profit margins in the
eLearning business. Substitutes and supplier power are the weakest forces.
6
How strategies are developed using Porter's five forces framework?
The four standard competitive tactics that can be used in a case name case study are
as follows:
1. Cost Leadership - Talent Serve the Learning App might aim to become the low cost
producer in its industry through cost leadership. Depending on the factors and structure of
the industry, it can become a cost leader in a variety of ways. Talent Serve can evaluate
(pursuit of economies of scale, proprietary technologies, supply chain management
alternatives, supplier diversification, preferential access to raw materials) and other
considerations while pursuing a cost leadership strategy.
2. Differentiation - Based on the industry forces discussed in the case study, Talent Serve
may also pursue a differentiation strategy. By offering a valuable value proposition to
customers, Talent Serve may use differentiation to stand out in its business. In order to
present itself in the clients' views specifically for their needs, Talent Serve can choose one
or more qualities. Due to the distinctiveness and exclusivity of the offering, a premium price
is sought after. Talent Serve can avoid areas that are already overrun by competitors by
conducting an industry study utilising Porter's Five Forces.
3. Focus - Differentiation Focus & Cost Focus' general business strategy is based on
selecting the competitive landscape of a certain sector. Talent Serve is capable of choosing a
segment or group of segments and configuring its approach to only serve those groups. In
the actual world, most organisations adhere to a certain emphasis plan.
4. The Focus Strategy has two different iterations. (A) A Talent Serve the Learning App
can look for a cost advantage in the section it selects for the case category.
(b) The Learning App can distinguish itself in a target market within its industry using the
Talent Serve Differentiation method.

Chapter 3: DEPARTMENTAL STUDY
The two key sections that make up Talent Serve are Management and Technology.
The term "technology department" refers to the division responsible for developing,
safeguarding, and storing the organization's electronic data as well as aiding all functional
areas with the usage of software and data management.
3.1.2 Documents maintained for planning, staffing, organizing and controlling purpose
by department
Planning:
The documents kept are highly fundamental and common to other businesses or industries,
such as excel sheets, tracking software, third-party software, time attendance sheets, etc.
The marketing processes, plan, content, proposal, and messaging-related materials that are
kept up to date aid in planning. In planning what type of document is required is first
enlisted.
Staffing:
o Hiring guide
18
o Job profile
o Position description
o Selection standards
Directing:
o FAQ'S data
o Customer-facing manual
Controlling:
19
3.2 interdependence of department with other departments:
Human resources provide the appropriate individuals to staff the marketing project.
Employees need to have the right skill set in order to improve customer service within the
business and satisfy consumer needs and wants, and HR satisfies these needs.
You need to have enough cash on hand to start a marketing campaign. Finance assists in
providing guidance and standards to ensure that profits are maximised and competitiveness
is maintained. In turn, marketing increases sales, which in turn generates profit for the
Talent Serve.
Talent Serve and other areas employ a similar approach. The financial division is in charge
of, among other things, adding to the total and keeping track of employee travel expenses.
Customer interaction, market research, and other tasks fall within the purview of the
marketing division. They share information with one another, just like the other
organisational departments.
20
3.3 SWOT analysis of activities of department:
SWOT stands for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. A SWOT analysis is a
method for evaluating these four areas of our business.
In other words, what's happening inside and outside of your firm is examined in a SWOT
analysis together with internal and external issues. Therefore, let's understand the SWOT
analysis from the talent-serve perspectives. Some of these aspects will be within the control,
while others won't.
1) Strength:
Large customer base with around million customer and more to be added in next few
months: When a business has a wide customer base, it benefits from things like being
recognised for excellent customer service, getting more referrals, and fostering loyalty, all
of which help the business grow.
21
Over 300+ industry experts: Experts help us be more productive, provide stability, insight,
expand our network, attract talent, expand our clientele, can accompany us on the entire trip,
and offer flexibility.
1000+ colleges’ network: Career advancement requires active professional networking.
Their network is a great place to find fresh viewpoints and concepts to support them in their
position. One of the main advantages of networking is the opportunity to share issues,
successes, and aspirations since it enables people to learn new perspectives they might not
have otherwise considered.
Positive word-of-mouth: Positivity in the word-of-mouth regarding a brand is crucial for its
success. When considering a purchase, particularly one of a service online, individuals
frequently believe what others have to say.
Knowledge of contemporary requirements: Due to individual differences, there will be a
wide range of consumer needs. The understanding of your products and services that your
personnel has will be something that every customer expects. They put a lot of effort into
comprehending the demands of their customers, which enables them to fulfil demands and
win over new clients.
2) Weakness:
Lack of communication: Low productivity occurs when people lack the information or
knowledge, they believe they need. People tend to avoid situations where they can be
perceived as lacking knowledge, insight, or skill, which is a relatively simple explanation
for the phenomenon. Nobody wants to appear to be a total novice. And whether or not it is
justified, almost everyone fears being humiliated or made fun of.
Not having proper functionality: Not Enough Coordination Especially when there is
improper functionality, the increasing importance of communication in organisations has
had a significant negative influence on the company's ability to attract and retain personnel.
Lack of awareness: Self-awareness in talent serve tends to be oblivious of how their actions
and decisions affect the individuals they work with. Because of inconsistent behaviour, there
has been a lack of self-awareness. They can be viewed as ineffective as well. Especially
when they are required to perform twice as much labour.
Brand Recognition: A great brand name requires a lot of effort, money, and resources to
develop; yet, the long-term costs of a bad brand name can be much higher. Even the highest-
quality product or service risks failure if sales, repeat business, and client loyalty are lost.
22
3) Opportunities:
Utilize social media marketing and advertising to increase traffic as LinkedIn and Instagram
are popular among the target audience, which is job seekers.
To increase market reach, form strategic partnerships with other colleges and experts: When
current, brand-loyal customers buy more of a company's service, higher market share can
aid in improving sales. As prospective new customers follow the lead of existing ones,
market share may also result in a company's overall customer base expanding. Increasing
market share can open up new possibilities and highlight a company's reputation.
Increasing brand recognition: If a corporation invests in branding for their enterprise, they
can increase leads & business growth. One can enhance market share and sales by raising
brand awareness. It promotes repeat purchases, increases market share, and generates more
sales.
4) Threats:
4.1 Objectives:
For young individuals who wish to increase their chances of finding a job and kick-starting
their careers, internships provide a range of advantages. You may develop your portfolio,
get a taste of the working world, and network with people who can advance your career
through internships.
1) An attempt
Being exposed to a specific job, profession, or industry is one of the primary goals of an
internship. Even though we may have a notion of what a job entails, we won't know if it is
23
what we thought it was, if we have the training and abilities to execute it, or if we like it
until we actually perform it.
2) Resume Development
When we seek for jobs, employers will find us more appealing if we have more experience
and successes. It doesn't necessarily follow that having an internship with a well-known
company or with a particular title will help us find a good job. Ask for responsibility,
explore for ways to fulfil goals, and make a difference where we work. Be prepared to put in
more time than is necessary, and request that they work in several divisions to broaden our
skill set.
3) Community Contacts
An internship's ability to help you network in the professional world. These folks can serve
as references, assist with projects once we are working somewhere else, or help you get
work in the future. Meet the individuals whose occupations we hope to have someday.
Inquiring about their professional backgrounds, how they got to where they are today, and if
they have any advice for us on how to sharpen our skills.
4) Possible Job
We have the chance to succeed and maybe even get hired by the company if we enjoy our
internship. Because they can judge a candidate's work ethic, abilities, inventiveness,
interpersonal skills, and general fit with a company, employers find it simpler to hire
someone they know. Increasing our chances of getting hired by the organisation by going
above and above what is required, becoming familiar with office politics, and making
friends with influential people.
24
Soft talents are those that we can utilise in any workplace, regardless of the sector the
organisation operates in or the technology it employs. Soft skills include our capacity for
clear communication (both verbally and in writing), interpersonal aptitude, leadership skills,
and the capacity to comprehend and adhere to instructions, manage disagreements, arrive on
time, and deliver presentations. If we wish to enter management, soft skills are very crucial.
Through an internship, we may watch managers and employees at work and identify any
discrepancies in the ways that they lead, follow, and communicate.
The more real-world experience we have, the more we elevate ourselves above young
graduates with no employment history. Along with specific jobs, we'll master the hard skills
required for many other types of jobs. We'll also study soft skills. Once we have experience,
prospective employers will not only be able to see it on our résumé, but they will also be
able to inquire about it during job interviews and when they check our references.
7) Studying Mistakes
Early in their careers, many successful people make a number of blunders, which makes
them less likely to repeat those errors as they go up the ladder. Making mistakes and
growing from them helps us become better performers since we now know to wa
An internship is one of the main activities that is highly advised during our postgraduate
years. To increase your employability, especially as a business student, gaining job
experience is essential. I had an internship at a Talent serve for eight weeks. We had our
orientation session at the beginning of the week, where we were briefed and allocated
someone to shadow. We primarily took notes and were assigned quick errands to run while
we were shadowing.
There were the total 6 task given to us during our internship period which were:

Task 3: Market Research- Collect the Data of 100 Students/Fresher/ PreFinal Year
Students.
Domain-Specific Work:
Task 4: Prepare a list of 100 Tier 2 /Tier 3 Tier 4 Colleges and their Point of Contact Email

Task 5: Prepare a list of 50 Coaching Classes which are nearby to your location.
We concentrated on general activities during the first week in order to gain a customer's
viewpoint on the Indian EdTech Sector. And by "consumer," we refer to a well-informed
individual who would gather as much data as possible before making a choice.
The first duty for the week is to post a blog on LinkedIn about any of the subjects from the
provided pdf, along with the hashtag #talentserve.
Each one of us have always been a Social Media buzz. Social Media has become an integral
part of our lives.
We cannot stop ourselves from sharing our day-to-day activities, our lives and our
happiness. In this way, we are projecting our thinking which reflects some way or the other
on social media.
26
Why not showcase our small achievements on social media too?
Helping people subscribe, follow and connect (at least 20 people across each platform)
which includes LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.

Task 3: Market Research- Collect the Data of 100 Students/Fresher/ Prefinal Year Students.
It was for understanding the problems they are facing and how they think about their career,
their goals, aspirations, and thing which concerns them regarding their career. In this task I
collected the data of 101 students for problem solving and understanding the need of the job
seekers.
For this we gone through google forms and circulated it in our different groups and online
platforms. i reached to 300+ students to fill the form out of which 101 students filled the
form before the guidelines assigned to us.
Domain-Specific Work:

Task 4: Prepare a list of 100 Tier 2 /Tier 3 Tier 4 Colleges and their Point of Contact Email
ID and Contact Number:
Under this task we collected the different information of the colleges which includes
institute name, website, email id, training and placement cell contact details. The data that
we collected was through online platform like Facebook, there website, google etc online
platforms and also through calling them.
Task 5: Prepare a list of 50 Coaching Classes which are nearby to your location.
Under this task the coaching classes data were being collected through cold calling, face to
face meetings and through online platforms like Facebook, google etc.
When it comes to giving it back to society, we always try to do something that can help
society with charity and our voluntary work. Generally, in most organisations, People take
this as the Last Option but In Talent Serve it is one important Primary Key Responsibility of
each and every team member to do so.
they wanted each one of us to support the Fundraising which can be contributed to multiple
NGOs e.g. Millaap, Simply Blood, Impact Guru etc. This comes under the CSR Initiative of
Talent Serve and they wanted all of us to support to get the minimum contribution or
maximum depending on our reach.
BLOGGING:
In talent serve, one of the most crucial components of our marketing strategy to boost traffic
to our website is blogging and producing pertinent material. Blog postings may be a very
effective strategy for increasing brand visibility when used in conjunction with SEO tactics
like keywords, titles, Meta descriptions, and others. Every time we publish a new blog, we
also expand our website by adding a new page. Due to the fact that it offers Google and
other search engines an incentive to revisit our website in search of fresh content to index,
this greatly aids SEO.
Using a blog to promote our services and develop enduring relationships with potential
customers is the ideal strategy. Promote our blogs on social media to reach a larger audience
and create a community around our topics, company insights, and viewpoint. When we
share a blog on social media and attract new users to our website, we'll start to notice just
how much traction a blog can generate.
Research reveals that as opposed to the conventional "purchase now" goal, almost 80% of
businesses prefer to have an advertisement in the form of a series of articles. Additionally,
consumers are growing weary of traditional forms of advertising and marketing, therefore
innovative ways to showcase our services are essential in today's competitive business
environment.
Blogs increase the level of trust that our audience has in our business or organisation
because people believe the written word. ensuring that our information is accurate and
informative, fostering conversation and knowledge exchange, and witnessing a boost in
brand confidence.
29
For e.g. By posting a blog on online education i reached to around 870+ impressions on
LinkedIn.
This task in talent serve was basically done for following reasons:
Platforms like Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter are ideal places to reach new and highly
targeted potential clients because more than half of the world's population uses social media.
2. Generate leads
Potential clients can demonstrate interest in our company and our products via social media
in a simple and low-commitment manner. Since generating leads is one of social media's
key economic advantages, several social networks now provide advertising formats made
particularly for doing so.
3. Enhance sales
Our social media platforms are an essential component of our sales funnel, which is the
procedure by which a new contact turns into a client. Social networks will be more crucial
for product search and e-commerce as social media usage among users rises and social sales
tools develop.
4. promote content
An excellent method to expand our audience and demonstrate our knowledge is to promote
our material on social media. This will expose new individuals to our insightful, well-
researched work.
Through social networks, we can communicate directly with our clients and supporters, and
they can do the same for our company. Social media allows for two-way communication as
opposed to traditional media, which only allows for one-way communication.
Customers and followers must be engaged if we want them to be as well. Maintain an active
presence and reply to queries and comments on our own social media posts in a style that
represents our brand.

Task 3: Market Research- Collect the Data of 100 Students/Fresher/ Prefinal Year Students.
There are times when business owners require more precise data on the size of their market,
their target clients, and the most effective ways to approach them. We recently finished
research for a job seeker where information was gathered to determine the knowledge and
abilities that students are lacking.
Making our products, services, and marketing stand out requires understanding your rivals
and what they have to offer. The ability to set competitive prices is undoubtedly a result of
research, but it also allows us to improve our operations by allowing us to monitor our
competitors.
Every small business owner wants to expand their enterprise, but many are unsure of how to
get started. For any form of product development, launch, or business expansion, research is
our best tool.
We can find potential new market opportunities for our business with the use of market
research. It can assist in determining potential geographic areas for growth and/or gauge
how ready the market is for our newest goods or services.

3. To create better automated marketing programmes that more precisely address their top
problems as both persons and businesses, we segment our prospects and customers.
4. helps to make better judgments by enabling data-supported decisions.
5. enhances reporting and forecasting, enabling a company's long-term outlooks to be more
precise.
6. To increase the company, reach.
Funding is essential because it allows NGOs to exist and keeps their operations going. All
things considered, it is a crucial factor since without sufficient money, NGOs would be
unable to achieve their goals and actualize their vision. However, obtaining financing for an
NGO's support can also become into a goal in and of itself, causing them to veer from their
original goals and possibly abandon their missions entirely.
4.4 Conclusion:
1. Management of time
A proper time management strategy will lessen the likelihood of confronting missed
deadlines because overall technicians and programmers are constantly pressed for time and
have a full agenda. We may complete our assignments quickly and adhere to our timetables
32
with the help of smart time management. Scheduling allows us to plan ahead and saves
time, which helps us do more.
To build a solid organisation in the workplace, collaboration is essential. In order for the
organisation as a whole to achieve its goals, teamwork is also crucial. Consequently, sharing
and communication are crucial in the workplace. So instead of working alone, we should
appreciate one another at work and work as a team. The reason for this is because working
as a team rather than alone makes it simpler to accomplish our goals.
In conclusion, this internship has been a fantastic and fruitful experience. I can say that my
experience working at Talent Serve has taught me a lot. Without a doubt, there are some
management-related shortcomings in my work that could be fixed given enough time. I
think the time I spent learning about it and doing the research was well worth it and helped
us find a workable solution. Time management abilities and self-motivation are the two key
things I've come to realise are crucial.
4.5 Suggestions:
Keep your communication and contact with the pupils a priority. The managers of various
departments can be connected with and used as a resource in one of the finest ways for
33
businesses to accomplish this. Assist Career Services in letting students know when you'll
be on campus. Make your point known and understandable. Make it simple for students to
contact you if you are seeking for interns or have openings. Ensure that all channels of
contact are open and that students may reach you immediately for information.
Important Work
Give your interns the chance to work on projects that matter and improve the bottom line.
Make them work on actual tasks, real issues, and genuine company challenges. If they are
given the opportunity to further develop and use their current abilities while performing
important work, they will get more out of their time with your organisation. In fact,
according to previous research, 84 percent of students thought it was very important to have
the chance to use newly acquired job-specific abilities. Your company's genuine problems
will be solved by interns in front of you, and who knows? They might see something you
hadn't previously.
Engagement of Interns
During their time working with you, make sure your interns are engaged. Maintain their
involvement, give them a sense of value, and make the time you invest worthwhile. Don't
just assign them a task and shut the door. Make plans for various initiatives with specific
34
goals in mind. Place them in the centre of the business and allow them to take part in all
operations. You will always get greater work and better outcomes from an intern who is
motivated.
Providing criticism
Keep in mind that these interns are in your organisation to gain knowledge and expand their
skills. The easiest method for them to do that is by getting organised input from you. Focus
on assisting their improvement while being sincere and helpful. Interns are searching for
criticism. They're there to pick the brains of actual business experts.
Keep in Touch
After an intern leaves, keep in touch with them. If you thought they might be a good fit for
the business, let them know about upcoming possibilities and openings for new positions.
Keep lines of communication open and let them know that you are always available. This
person might work for us in the future. Behave with them as if they were already a part of
the workplace family.
