TODA Crankshaft and Connecting rod Instructions(HONDA B16A 1800Kit)

Thank you very much for having purchased TODA Crankshaft and connecting rod.
Before using the product, please carefully read the hereunder instructions and the manufacture's service manuals.

○ Selection of the main bearings

Existing bearing used with the original crankshaft cannot be reused.Please select the bearing size after
measuring the oil clearances. The adjustment should be done for all journals individually.
Recommended oil clearance
Journal No.1,2,4,5 0.025 - 0.030 mm
Journal No.3 0.030 - 0.035 mm

○ Clearance check
Please confirm if there is enough clearance between pistons, connecting rods, crankshaft and cylinder block.
Be sure to check with trial assembling.

○ The torque of the connecting rod bolt

4.1kgf-m
Please put engine oil on the threads and seating face.
The mark on the rod section should be toward front of the engine.

○ Selection of the connecting rod bearings

Included connecting rod bearings are clearance adjusted at the factory.
Recommended oil clearance 0.040 - 0.045 mm

○ Oil pressure adjusting

When the genuine oil pump is used, please put a 2.5mm shim in the relief valve to adjust the oil pressure by
raising the spring load.(3 M5 plain washers will be about 2.5mm in thickness)
This measure is good for the bearings.

○ When installing, use liberal amount engine oil or assembling paste on the parts.
(Don't use lubricating / penetrating oils such as WD40. Contact surfaces and thread parts can be damaged.)

○ Race grade engine oil of no less than 10W-50 is recommend.

○ Please refer to the service manual for the short block assembling.
