Anti- Sexual Harassment Reflection Paper

Going to work and school every day, I was aware that sexual harassment was an issue in the real
world, but I had no idea how neglected it was. Certainly, not all guys harass women. Men who desire
important positions in society, on the other hand, self-select. The same tendency that drives men to
want power also drives males to believe it is OK to utilize that power in a male/female relationship.
However, in today's world, women who make little money and have no profession are more likely to
believe they have little to lose if they report harassment.

They may not be able to afford to lose their wage, but it is simpler for them to find another work
that pays the same amount. As a result, harassing them is risky. Women in a high-profile career have a
lot to lose by reporting harassment, so they put up with it. Many previously major crimes are becoming
less and less important in our current time period. Sexual harassment, in particular, is becoming less
prevalent.

A sexual harassment perpetrator is seldom punished any longer. While this scenario may appear
to some to be a demonstration of immaturity and perhaps a bit amusing, it is most emphatically not.
The absence of punishment in this case conveys the idea that sexual harassment is acceptable. What
some people may not know is that believing this is acceptable can lead to far worse outcomes, such as
rape. Harassment and rape are not to be taken lightly; they are severe crimes that must be dealt with as
such.
