a) Find and write down the definition of inclusive education.
Inclusive education is a system of educational services guaranteed by the state, which is based
on the principles of non-discrimination, taking into account the diversity of people, effective
involvement and inclusion of all its participants in the educational process.
b) Find and write down the definition of SEN learner.
A child has special educational needs if they have a learning problem or disability that make it
more difficult for them to learn than most children their age. They may have problems with
schoolwork, communication or behaviour.
c) Find and write down the definition of an inclusive learning environment.
An inclusive learning environment is a school or classroom where students of every ability level
receive teaching in the same place. This means that particularly able students learn alongside
those who have special educational needs, such as dyslexia, dyspraxia and attention deficit
disorder.
2. Choose one infographic which is in your opinion the most relevant for your work as a
teacher of English at school. Be ready to explain your choice in class.

We believe this infographic is the most relevant for English teachers at school. We can make
an approximate plan for our lesson based on the tasks. And the composition of the team
helps us to understand the basic needs and wishes of inclusive students.

The most significant benefit of inclusive education is
Children are able to be part of their community and develop a sense of belonging and become
better prepared for life in the community as children and adults.
It provides better opportunities for learning. Children with varying abilities are often better
motivated when they learn in classes surrounded by other children.
The expectations of all the children are higher. Successful inclusion attempts to develop an
individual’s strengths and gifts.
It allows children to work on individual goals while being with other students their own age.
It fosters a culture of respect and belonging. It also provides the opportunity to learn about and
accept individual differences.
It provides all children with opportunities to develop friendships with one another. Friendships
provide role models and opportunities for growth.

The least significant benefits of inclusive education:

It encourages the involvement of parents in the education of their children and the activities of
their local schools.
Inclusive education is beneficial primarily to parents and their children. Because special children
have a hard time perceiving information and cannot develop and learn like all other children, in
the case of inclusive education, they receive all the attention directed to themselves and perceive
information much better. Parents do not need to do this with their children at home and spend a
lot of time explaining the material to the child, this can be done by a specialist at school or at
home with the child.

For parents of children with special educational needs, one of the most important tasks is the
formation of independence skills in them, which would enable them to adapt to life as best as
possible.
The article gives advice on the formation of such skills as:
- functional skill
- generalisation skill
- the skill of learning in a playful way
The article also suggests skills that must be taught to the child and tells how to do it in
everyday life, which is very useful.

I enjoyed taking these tests because I learned a lot about working with inclusive people. I
liked the accessories test the most because many of them looked interesting and unusual.
Of course, I don't know all the definitions or specific aspects, but these tests help me get
familiar with them.

7. 1)” One day, my students were writing an argument essay about what would be the worst
natural disaster to experience. John's head was down on the desk. He was not doing
anything. I knew that he was interested in football, so I told him that he could write an essay
on why his favourite team was the best.
He would still have to make an argument, just about football instead of hurricanes or
earthquakes. His eyes lit up.
He got to work and wrote what his mother later told me was the first essay he had ever
written in school. He had followed all the guidelines of a good argument essay.”
2) “During the independent reading time in my early morning class several years ago, one
student tended to fall asleep. I told him that if he wanted, he could go to the back and sit on
a desk and read. Soon, several others joined him. A few days later I saw another student
dozing off. Before I could say anything, one of his classmates whispered to him, just go sit
on a desk.”
3) “One year, I had a student who liked to doodle when other students or I were talking. I
told her it was okay as long as she was doodling the information we discussed. She built on
those doodles to create a final project that brilliantly and visually represented all the key
points we had covered.”

research. It is a good introduction with examples for people to help them distinguish between
medical and social models. (Ridkous)

9. Both videos are about how important it is to include inclusive people in society and how to
do it correctly. If we talk about children, simply placing them in a class with non-inclusive
children will not be a good solution. You need to develop a plan and stick to it to get a good
result. It is always based on communication and interaction between students. The second
video is a great example of how this approach helps people build friendships that last for
years and even teach their children to be tolerant and self-aware.
