D. Discussion

The Human Life Cycle Stages

Let’s discuss the Stages of Human Life Cycle. And as we discuss, I will ask you to identify the
pictures you were able to form and paste it where it belong among the 5 Stages one at a time.
Okay?

Birth – The start of human life cycle begins after the baby is delivered out by its mother
to the world.

Infancy – Is categorized as lasting birth through the first year of life. The infant is
completely dependent upon its parents or caretakers for survival.

Childhood – Takes place between ages 1-10. The first 2 years, the child is called a
toddler. During this time, the child learns how to walk, talk, running, jumping, identifying
things, eating by themselves and be more self-sufficient. The child is susceptible during
this time to learned habits and behaviours.
Adolescence – Takes place between ages 12 and 18 and is critical turning point
because it is when puberty takes place. Boy’s voices change and girls get their periods.
As such, they begin to separate more from the parents and become more independent.

Adulthood – Lasts from age 18 throughout old age, Adulthood is when human beings
are fully grown and must provide entirely for themselves. This is also significant time that
adults can give birth.

All of us go through distinct periods of development as they move from infants to young
adults. During each of these multiple changes in development of the brain are taking
place. What occurs and approximately when these developments takes place are
genetically determined. However, environmental circumstances and exchanges with key
individuals within that environment have significant influence on how each child benefits
from each developmental event.

Teacher: Among the 5 Stages of Human Life Cycle, what is your most favourite, and why?
