innocent people. Satrapi portrays the police as locking arms in order to keep everyone out of the
building. This is important because the doors were locked from the outside and the police blocked any
help to the victims inside (14). Satrapi also writes “They forbade people to rescue those locked inside”
(14). The police in this situation be looking for ways to help the victims, instead they founds ways to
harm them.
