B. Checking of Attendance
C. Motivation
Show pictures of Ifugao lifestyle and of their ‘anitos’.
Ask the students about their perception of the Ifugaos.
Lesson Proper
A. Discussion
1. Let the students read the text.
2. Discuss the subject matter with the students.

B. Analysis
Ask the following questions:
What are the characteristics of the main character in the story?
Philip and Sam are symbols of what?
Who is the god stealer? Prove.

B. Activity
Group Activity-
Present a five minutes skit that will re-enact one of the scenes in the short story.

D. Abstraction
How did the characters in the story respond to the choices they make?
What did they do to attain these choices?

E. Application
Cite incidents how the writer displayed qualities of irony in the story.
Evaluation
Write your own short story about life situations using any of the 3 types of irony.
