10 Days Advanced Research Skill Development Training program on ‘Molecular, Microbiological and
Chromatographical methods in food analysis ’
Introduction
With experienced and qualified staff and comprehensive state-of-the-art R&D facilities the institute maintains its leading
position in conducting training programs for the personnel from Biochemistry, Physiology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology
Petrochemical, Automotive, Power and related user industry. More than 500 personnel from India and abroad have been
trained on different requirements.

As per the initiatives taken by the institute under ‘SIIR-SRB Integrated Skill Development Training Programs’ applications are
invited from eligible participants for training program on ‘Molecular, Microbiological and Chromatographical methods in food
analysis ’.
Our Analytical Sciences Division is equipped with range of analytical instruments beside manpower having wide-ranging
working experience and extensive knowledge base. The participants will acquire a broad working knowledge of Molecular,
Microbiological, Chromatographic & Spectrometric analytical techniques (GC, HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS, ICP-MS & AAS).

Objectives & Scope


Training is aimed at providing in depth knowledge and selective hands on experience on Advanced techniques in
Molecular biology, Microbiology, GC, HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS, ICP-MS and AAS techniques to those new to the R&D
institute/industry/faculty or wish to develop their career further in the relevant to R&D/QA/ QC area with
more strengthened analytical approach.

With exposure to Molecular, Microbiological and Chromatographical methods in food analysis instrumental
facilities backed by theoretical clarity, a person will be able to develop precise evaluation approach for research and
development activities/quality compliances besides running routine analytical tests depending upon individual’s
ability and dedication in learning the skill.
Pre-requisites Who Should join
No pre requisites beside educational qualification being M.Sc. Research Scientists/University Faculty/Research Scholars
Biosciences/Chemistry/Pharm/Agriculture/Food Tech. etc. having desire to excel in the area of R&D/ Quality Control OR
20 - 50 years of age. wants to acquire broad knowledge of Molecular biology,
Microbiology, Chromotography, Spectroscopic Analytical
approach through exposure to instrumental testing and
evaluation for competitive examinations.

 Small group of 10 Trainees in each program.
 Interactive sessions for in-depth knowledge sharing.
 Evaluation of trainees will consist of both Theory & Practical component.
