Preparatory exercisesto acquirespeed,precision, agility and strength
in the ngers of both hands as well as exibility of the wrists.

Exercise 1 gives practice in stretching the 4th and Sth ngers of the left hand while ascending, the 4th and
Sth ngers of the right hand while descending. Lift the ngers high and play each note distinctly.
