I was saddled with the responsibility of attending to emergencies which stem from medical, surgical,
paediatric and gynaecological emergencies.

I also formulated treatment plans and made clinical presentations to health personnels.

I rotated through a nephrology focused center where i was involved with kidney care, work up for
transplants, dialysis and other kidney conservation procedures and interventions.

Public health is an area that is not well studied and understood in Nigeria. My exposure to public health
will equip me with the skills necessary in understanding the epidemiology and factors that influence
diseases in its entirety.

Nigeria has one of the smallest numbers of public health physicians worldwide. With my new wealth of
knowledge, I will be able to encourage and motivate young medical colleagues to take up a career in
public health. I wish to also pursue a fellowship degree in Public health and subsequently become an
expert in the field incorporating what I have learnt in public health to my medical training and also
impacting these knowledge to the greater good of all

Few researches have been done in the area of public health. Understanding the subject will help me
champion more researches. Since the onset of COVID 19 pandemic, more hands are needed in the
public health space. COVID 19 has changed the face of health care globally. With the emergence of new
strains, COVID 19 has become a disease of public health importance and I believe public health will
proffer me with the tools needed in tackling the global menace contributed by COVID 19.

In the long run I hope to become an emergency physician and I believe a Master’s in public health will be
helpful in my future career and help me in being an asset to my country and the global scene as a whole

My foundation of Medicine, as well as my thorough work experience in patient healthcare and

community health projects will greatly equip me for the rigors and challenges of meeting the health
needs and ensuring health for all. I also believe that this program will facilitate both my short- and long-
term career aspirations in ensuring quality delivery of healthcare services particularly through the
surveillance of cases, health indicators and the promotion of healthy behaviors in my home country and
the world at large.
