1. Differentiate folk dance, ethnic dance, and cultural dance.

- Folk dance refers to specifically those social and festive dances performed by villagers or
peasantry in communal celebration of sorts while ethnic dance is a term used to denote the
general body of all dances of ethnic minorities in any given nation. On the other hand,
cultural dance are dances created in the context of a specific culture. These dances have
important elements that are significant to the culture in which they were developed.

2. Types of competitive gymnastics.

a. Artistic Gymnastics – is where gymnasts perform short routines (ranging from


approximately 30 to 90 seconds) on different apparatus, with less time for vaulting.
b. Rhythmic Gymnastics – is a women-only event in which gymnasts perform on a floor
with a rope, hoop, ball, clubs or ribbon accompanied by music, in individual or group
events.
c. Trampolining - is performed after rebounding into the air from the trampoline.
d. Tumbling - is a form of gymnastics performed without any specialized equipment.
e. Acrobatic - is a type of gymnastics where a team of gymnasts work together to perform
acrobatic moves in combination with dance moves to form various figures. 
f. Aerobic – is where gymnasts execute routines to music that show dynamic strength,
flexibility, jumping ability and balance.
