Project Proposal on Health Promotion and

Awareness Creation of Corona Virus

(COVID-19)

INTRODUCTION & PURPOSE

We are living in an unprecedented time where we don't predict things to
happen, we deal with things, especially this COVID-19 pandemic in the
past few years. We can say and tell that COVID-19 did really made a huge
impact and change the world where things begin to be so difficult and
complicated. Most people infected with the virus will experience mild to
moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special
treatment. However, some will become seriously ill and require medical
attention. Older people and those with underlying medical conditions like
cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, or cancer
are more likely to develop serious illness. Anyone can get sick with
COVID-19 and become seriously ill or die at any age. The virus can spread
from an infected person’s mouth or nose in small liquid particles when they
cough, sneeze, speak, sing or breathe. These particles range from larger
respiratory droplets to smaller aerosols. It is important to practice
respiratory etiquette, for example by coughing into a flexed elbow, and to
stay home and self-isolate until you recover if you feel unwell. The best
way to prevent and slow down transmission is to be well informed about the
disease and how the virus spreads. Protect yourself and others from
infection by staying at least 1 meter apart from others, wearing a properly
fitted mask, and washing your hands or using an alcohol-based rub
frequently. Get vaccinated when it’s your turn and follow local guidance.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION & OBJECTIVE

The COVID-19 pandemic has led to a dramatic loss of human life
worldwide and presents an unprecedented challenge to public health, food
systems and the world of work. The pandemic has been affecting the entire
food system and has laid bare its fragility, The pandemic has decimated
jobs and placed millions of livelihoods at risk. Without the means to earn an
income during lockdowns, many are unable to feed themselves and their
families. For most, no income means no food, or, at best, less food and
less nutritious food. Now is the time for global solidarity and support,
especially with the most vulnerable in our societies, particularly in the
emerging and developing world. Only together can we overcome the
intertwined health and social and economic impacts of the pandemic and
prevent its escalation into a protracted humanitarian and food security
catastrophe, with the potential loss of already achieved development
gains. The development objective is to strengthen the Philippines' capacity
to prevent, detect and respond to the threat posed by COVID-19 and
strengthen national systems for public health preparedness. We must
rethink the future of our environment and tackle climate change and
environmental degradation with ambition and urgency. Only then can we
protect the health, livelihoods, food security and nutrition of all people, and
ensure that our ‘new normal’ is a better one. Implementation of
objective-driven and sustainable testing strategies for COVID-19 supports
the overall public health response to the pandemic and helps mitigate its
impact on vulnerable populations and healthcare systems, while ensuring
that societies and economies can continue to function and to ensure early
identification of cases among students and staff in order to conduct contact
tracing and initiate prevention and control measures, thereby reducing
further transmission,to identify infection in students and staff at high risk of
developing severe disease due to underlying conditions and To support
investigations and studies concerning the role of children in the
transmission of COVID-19.

METHODOLOGY OR PROJECT DESIGN

In March 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared
COVID-19 a pandemic, caused by the novel SARS-CoV-2 virus.
Following the call from the WHO to immediately assess available data to
learn what care approaches are most effective and evaluate the effects
of therapies, this collection aims to report on original peer-reviewed
research articles in methodological approaches to medical research
related to COVID-19, and Based on this methodology, the possible range
of values in the policy adoption index is from 0 to 100. Higher values
indicate that more measures have been taken, with greater rigor and
earlier in the pandemic. Lower values indicate fewer, less stringent and
later adoption of health measures to contain COVID-19. It should be
noted that the maximum of 100 is a theoretical value, as it would imply
full adoption of the 10 measures from the first day of the pandemic in the
country.

PROJECT NEEDS
To complete this endeavor, we will need millions of Frontliners and
volunteers. The projected cost of this initiative is roughly 100 million pesos,
which will cover all the expenses for the Frontliners and volunteers' safety
throughout the operation. As long as there are fresh cases every day, the
initiative will continue, according to the leaders and founders, who
predicted it would last 1-2 years. Facemasks and other necessities for
hygiene and sanitation will cost millions of pesos.
