The history of yoga is the main topic of the video. Yoga is the cessation of shifting chitta

consciousness levels. Sanskrit word YUJ is the origin of the word yoga. Anyone learning yoga

should be familiar with Patanjali, a member of the Nag tribe.

The practice of Yoga was started during the Indus-Sarasvati civilization in Northern

India over 5,000 years ago. It was first mentioned in Rig Veda, a collection of texts that

consisted of rituals, mantras, and songs which was mainly used by Brahmans, the Vedic priests.

Yoga was slowly developed by Brahmans who eventually documented their practices and

beliefs in the Upanishads that has over 200 scriptures.

The Vyakrana Mahabhasa, the Yoga Sutra, and the Ayurveda Samvidh are the

three treaties that Patanjali created. We can confidently state that he is an extraordinary genius

in the field of yoga based on these facts. Chittod played a particularly noteworthy role in the

development of yoga. The chittod was originally known by the name Madhyamika. Patanjali

only wrote one page of the Yoga Sutra, which was his contribution to the discipline.

The Mahrishi Ved Vyas later added to it. Perhaps Patanjali was the first to

scientifically organise and demystify the components of consciousness. Indian yoga has

influenced a wide range of ideologies, arts, and sciences. Yoga lessens the suffering caused by

diseases of the mind in a manner similar to how Ayurveda treats illnesses of the body.

Yoga Shastra is divided into four chapters: Samadhipad, Sadhanpad, Vibhutipad,

and Kevalyapad. Ahimsa, Satya, Asteya, Aparigraha, Brahmacharya, Niyama (Shauch,

Santosh, Tapa, Swadhyaya, Ishwar Pranidhan), Asana, Pranayam, Prtyahar, Dhara, Dhyana,

and Samadhi are the eight limbs of yoga that I have learned. This second chapter can be read

by the average individual.

Well, Yoga isn’t limited to just that. It has benefits that go beyond the constraints

of flexibility. It aids in strengthening physical and mental health, alike. This beautiful art has

evolved over numerous centuries. It is a spiritual discipline that aims to achieve eternal peace

and harmony between body and mind and soul. It aims at cleansing our mind of the mental

pollutants along with making our body physically fit.

Yoga is experiential, existential, and exploratory in every way. The eyes should

be at the middle of the eyebrow or nose when performing an asana, which is a relaxed body

position. Pranayama purifies the psyche. People can re-establish a connection with their higher

natural states through the practise of yoga. It increases one's ability to connect with everything.

Yoga is a very healthy practice that has brought unbelievable results in the

lives of people who have inculcated this in their daily routine. Here are some inspirational

quotes for Yogis as well as non-yogis that will motivate you to go to that Yoga mat.

A priceless gift from traditional Indian culture is yoga. It includes a

wholistic approach to health and welfare as well as a balance between a person and their

surroundings, their thoughts and their deeds, restraint and fulfilment. Yoga places less

emphasis on exercise and more on achieving a sense of unity with ourselves, the rest of the

world, and environment.

By making lifestyle changes and spreading awareness, we can stop climate

change. Regular yoga practise builds strength, endurance, and flexibility as well as the virtues

of kindness, compassion, and improved self-control. It also promotes a sense of calm and

wellbeing. Yoga practise over time has a variety of positive effects, including changes in

outlook on life, heightened self-awareness, and an increase in energy for a fuller, happier

existence. Yoga practise produces a physiological state that is the opposite of the flight-or-

flight stress reaction, allowing for the condition of harmony and unity between the mind and

body to be realised.

I simply thought that yoga was all about poses and exercise before seeing

the video, but I was confused. The history of yoga is extensive and vibrant. Yoga has been

practised for a very long time. There are numerous scientific explanations for why yoga heals

illnesses. The practical side of history, in my opinion, is just as interesting as the historical side.

I believe that the practise of watching history will lessen mental tension. Additionally, the

physical body will become stronger and more powerful.

Modern yoga focuses on poses designed to stimulate inner peace and physical

energy. Ancient yoga did not place as much emphasis on fitness. Instead, it revolved around

cultivating mental focus and expanding spiritual energy.

There are many different types of yoga available. The style a person chooses will

depend on their expectations and level of physical agility. People with certain health conditions,

such as sciatica, should approach yoga slowly and with caution. Yoga can help support a

balanced, active lifestyle.

Today, Yoga is practiced worldwide by millions of people in many forms and

variations. At Replenish we focus on an ancient wisdom, modern living approach to Yoga.
