REFLECTION

HIV/AIDS awareness programs educate individuals on the various levels of care and
treatment available to them, whether they are living with HIV or caring for someone.

People are more cautions as a result of increased awareness of effective HIV prevention
techniques, which leads to lower infection rates. Whether they are living with HIV or caring for
someone who is, HIV/AIDS awareness programs assist individuals understand the many levels
of care and treatment available.

In the last two decades, tremendous progress has been made in helping people
understand and be aware of HIV. Many people in our community are still hesitant and
uninformed about HIV-positive people. World Aids Day contributes to the reduction of this
sigma, and the day emphasizes that we all have a role play. World Aids Day emphasizes that HIV
is an infection that should no be used to criticise anyone.

Encourage and assist those living with HIV/AIDS to come forward with their diagnosis.
Invites persons living with HIV and AIDS to speak at meeting with our leaders and sit on
platform. Organize testing drives and ask those leaders who are willing to go public with their
results to encourage testing.
