It is biologically necessary to eat enough food each day

in order to support the body's essential processes. Every single civilization on the globe prepares, and
eats food on a regular basis. Marketing has introduced us to a wide variety of products and services
from across the globe, and they have already focused on what makes their products stand out from the
competition. However, Filipinos have distinctive shopping habits that have developed into a distinct
culture. In general, Filipino customers like making purchases that satisfy their dietary preferences. Food
plays a significant role in popular culture, and a society's eating habits are influenced by its beliefs,
customs, and trends. A society's ideas and products, including those produced through its commercial,
political, media, and other institutions, as well as the effects of these ideas and products on society, are
referred to as popular culture. In the twenty-first century, the social media era has come, for better or
worse. Everything is governed by social media, including the media people consume and the products
they purchase. Vlogs have quickly grown in popularity as a platform for the food industry to fund social
media celebrities to advertise their goods. Similar to more conventional media, influencers on social
media primarily push food and beverages that are easy to order and deliver to the doorstep

packaged boxed meals like Rice-A-Roni and Hamburger Helper are available. Childhood obesity has
increased as a result of the widespread fast food culture. Before the late 1970s and early 1980s, people
didn't pay much attention to culinary culture, but then it became a major topic of conversation and
enjoyment (Lucky Peach). Because it is so accessible and has a significant cultural presence, Americans

essentials. The young Filipino consumer has benefited more from this trend because it provides a
convenient and safe way to shop without having to leave the house and sit in traffic for hours or prepare
meals at home the old-fashioned way. Instead, they can simply click and order from one of the many
nearby cuisines. However, the consumption of ready-made foods such as fast food, processed food,
unhealthy junk food, and beverages is typically poor in terms of nutrition, which influence by mass
media in our society that affects the young Filipino’s health and lifestyle. In the new normal, young
Filipinos are influenced by popular culture when they buy and consume food. This study analyzes this
effect and discusses Filipino consumer preferences as well as popular food and drink preferences and
eating behavior preferences. For young Filipino consumers, family, friends, and coworkers are
frequently the usual sources of influence, but in this generation, popular culture has grown in
importance because it inspires young people to be more creative and to broaden their horizons, helping
them to explore and expand their identities. New technology has led to the emergence of popular
culture in a globalized society, which has increased its influence on our neighborhood.
