In India, the situation of media consumption has changed drastically.
With its high penetration of smartphones and the availability of ample
data in affordable packages, Jio has transformed content consumption
across the board.

Out of a population of 1.3 billion people, only 425 million people read
newspapers. Online news (56%), especially social media news, has
replaced print media (16%) as the primary news source for users under
the age of 35, with users over the age of 35 consuming a combination of
online and offline news. According to India Digital News Report 2019, a
whopping 68% of the Indian population rely on smartphones as their
primary source of news. The short attention span in today’s world has
led to the popularity of short-form content among young Indians.

Knowello is an early-stage business infotainment
start-up, which has recently got listed on the Play
store. It curates content across business, finance
and economics and presents it in a bite-size
format.

As part of Knowello’s plan to gain traction in the


market, devise a well-researched feasible
marketing strategy to increase brand recognition
and create a loyal customer base. Teams need to
develop an overall branding strategy to increase
brand awareness at the macro level.
