Teacher-directed: There is no student voice and choice in the activities. Students are guided by the
teacher's direction and expectations.
X Student-Led: Students are given voice and choice in the activities. They may select the topic for
presentation and/or determine the tool they will use to meet the learning goal. Products of
learning will be uniquely designed. Teacher simply facilitates the learning in a lesson like this.
☐ Project-based and/or Publishable: Students are completing projects to demonstrate their learning
and the projects can be shared outside of the classroom. This objective could be reached by
displaying the project on the school’s morning newscast, posting the project to the classroom
blog, presenting it to another class, or publishing it via an outside source.
After listening to the eBook that I have made “count with me” students will be able to create
their own book. Students will draw a picture that represents a number 0-20. Students will

work in small groups as I come around a watch their work students will be able to collaborate
with peers and gain help from me if need. Students will be able to create their own book
show the class their creation, take it home to show parents, or keep in classroom
Managing engagement: Describe a way to use this technology in a way that gets students
actively involved in authentic tasks and contexts?
Co-use / co- engagement students will be able to work with me and other students when
creating their books. Also, students will be able to watch my eBook as it plays and be able to
interact with the book.
The actives that I have created will impact my students learning by first allowing
students to have an easily accessible book that can be pulled up at any time. Also,
students will be able to make their own personal books to take home and show
parents a family member which is something that I am looking forward to.
