ART APPRECIATION

What areas were you able to visit?

Musei Vaticani - Pio Clementine, Raphael’s Rooms, Sistine Chapel

Louvre Museum - Founding Myths, The Advent of The Artist, The Body in Movement
The Dali Theatre Museum - The Cupola, The Treasure Room, The Fishmongers Room

How are these areas similar and how are they different from one another?

All of the museums mentioned above are similar because it showcases different types
of art in many forms. Most of the artworks that are displayed are famous paintings and
sculptures by known artists all around the world. The museums also have the same
goal, and that is to give education to the public and preserve history. The difference that
I noticed is that most museums have more paintings, and some have a mix of
sculptures and artifacts.

Which particular piece caught your eye (only one)?

Which senses did you use to interact with the piece and how?

I used my sense of sight. I can feel the emotions of the artwork just by looking at it
because of how it was painted, the choice of colors, the lightning, and the emotions of
the subject shown in the painting.

What do you think is the meaning of the piece?

I think the meaning of this piece is all about chaos and wrath. The environment is
gloomy, with shades of black and red, and everything appears to be a total tragedy.
There is also dark smoke and a fire-filled opening on the ground, which appears to be a
portal to hell. The man standing in the artwork seems to be the one causing all of the
chaos happening. The painting also shows heavy emotions with a bit of anger.
