A great part of population tend to believe that happiness should be
measured by material possessions which provide them a high social status that make feel easy. Thus their objective is amass a great fortune. And, why not can they deserve this reward after having worked hard? Why do people questionne them? As I see it, the key is: "Does money make people happy?" I am inclined to agree that money plays a vital role in the materialistic world where we live in. Beyond that, it allows for life is little luxuries, such as the occasionally holidays. But frankly, I would like to stress that society is divided in two types of individuals, those who have amassed their fortune effortlessly. Not only have these people got accustomed to living in the lap of luxury but they are also habituated to living life on the fast track and, therefore, tend to waste money as if money were no subject. They need to learn about money management in order to use wealth wisely and not go bankrupt in no time. These people never find happiness. No sooner do they make a little money than they want more. They never have enough. In case they are faced with adversity it’s difficult for them to find a good stimulus to overcome it. In opposition to these, there are those who have made a great effort to make their fortune and therefore are very cautious when it comes to spending it, being considered by many as greedy. In reality, they are not happier than the previous ones because they are always worried about not to waste money all the time, being a little unhappy. On balance, I believe that our world has evolved into a place where we value possessions more than people. Materialism is the root of this problem. When people focus on getting whatever they want, they begin to forget what is really important. All in all, it seems to me that nobody have the right to judge the others. Everybody is free to live their live whatever they want as long as they respect the others
