NAME: VINCENT C. BALIWAS

COURSE/ YEAR: BSED III - ENGLISH
LEARNING TASK NO. 9

It was dawn, and the gloom had completely obscured the light, leaving everything pitch black. The slender, 15-

year-old kid was on his way home from visiting his father's grave, which he regularly went to after school

because it was his favorite location when he and his mother were at war, but his mother wanted him back at

home sooner. As a result, he goes there every day, missing his one favorite person at home, who is now dust.

Every time he went to the cemetery, he told his father stories, offered updates, and said farewell. He takes a

small, ancient, and unsafe bicycle to see his father when he has a spare moment. Her mother was waiting on the

couch when he returned home.

"Where have you been?" his mother said, surprised.

"I visited my father's grave." He responded honestly and pitifully."

"How many times do I have to warn you that you could be in danger?"

"But all I want to do is pay him a visit."

"No! You no longer ride your bike to school. You'll be on the school bus. It's a much safer than your old bike."

"However, mama..."

"No! Take my advice."

It was like a tragedy that he couldn't bring himself to visit his father's grave again. He wept like rain, wishing

his father was still alive so that this stuff wouldn't happen.

He intends to escape and go away from his mother. He has no misgivings about doing so. He was cheerfully but

pitifully abandoning his mother. His mother's behavior was entirely due to his father's death. She was no longer

the enthusiastic, motivated, and beloved mother he was before the tragedy. The nighttime has ended in sadness,

and the day has begun with a fresh sunrise. On a fresh day, Peter is forced to ride in a new car that he dislikes.

The bus was so noisy it seemed like he was at a party. He wasn't used to it and chose to travel alone rather than

with his classmates. He doesn't have any friends. When the bus came at school, Peter raced up for their field

trip, which would take them to an amazing location where antique exhibitions are depicted. His teacher explains

everything around him until he sees a chamber full of mysteries and questions his teacher.

"Ma'am, what was the purpose of the room?"

"Um, that area was merely a stock room. It is banned to enter."

"Did you see a ghost or something?"

"No, Peter, we should no longer take care of it; it is also not our problem."

"You know what, Peter? You are such a moron; why would you inquire about a risky location if you want to

live?" commented a student.

"It's not harmful; it's simply forbidden." He defended it."

"If you want to die, then go."

"Why should I die? I'm only going to discover what's inside," he said courageously.

"Don't you know it's ghost territory, so if you dare to go see it and pee on your shorts, go ahead. Dumb ass."

Peter was stunned and impressed by what his classmate stated, but he doesn't believe it. He has the courage to

know the truth since he was not convinced at all. Peter secretly skips to the field trip class after a time, and no

one notices. He entered the specified room. The door creaks and opens, revealing nothing. It was built of wood

and covered in white garments, and it smelled strongly of stock. He was ready to return when he slid off, hit his

head on the floor, and fell asleep. When he awoke, everything vanished. It's only him.

"Ouch! My head. Where is everyone?" he asks himself passionately.

Nobody remembered him, therefore there was no bus to ride on. He walks to see his father and tells him

everything. Someone was watching him while he was speaking. screeching from the other side of the cemetery

He was terrified. But just as he is ready to go, someone appears.

He thought of it as death. As he saw them, his eyes became larger. He sprints to the finish line as quickly as he

can. His heart was racing too quickly. He walks to the bus station, and he has started his journey. As he

proceeded, he noticed someone attempting to leap from the bridge. He approaches the lady and asks her a

question.

"What are you doing there, miss? Are you going to..."

The lady had leaped from the bridge before his statement was finished. He had no idea why she did it. He was

so surprised that he fled once more. He arrives at their house after a long walk, but he is hesitant to enter since

he knows his mother is upset with him. But he is unaware that his mother is concerned about him. As a result,

Peter travels approximately twice the distance from his house to school to see his uncle. He was delighted to

knock on the door and greet his uncle. His uncle was also a delight.

"Hello, uncle! It's me, Rafael's kid," he added with a smile.

"Oh, I recall you; let's go in."

"Um, I just wanted to sleep over with you tonight if that's okay."

"Of course, you are welcome, sweetheart," his auntie said.

Dinner was served, and they began to eat. Their main meal was fried chicken legs. While they were eating, his

auntie asked his twin cousin's sister with a pursuing kiss.

"Hmm, who wants to go to the beach tomorrow?"

His identical sister's cousin simply laughed and resumed eating. After his auntie's query, his uncle just began to

cough heavily and drink water. They were gazing at one other as if there was a big problem. It was an odd

appearance all around. They were so bothersome that even his cousin's twin sister smiled all the time. After all,

they ate, and Peter had just gone to the washroom and ended up running into his auntie reading a novel. Then he

inquired.

"Well, Aunt Janice, where would I sleep?"

"Of certainly, here dear," she says.

"Wow, is this just my room?"

"Yes!"

"Thank you very much, auntie."

His auntie simply grins and walks away. He was ready to fall asleep when he heard a scary disturbance from

somewhere. He began looking for it, but who appeared was his cousin's twin sister.

"What exactly are you two doing here?"

His identical sister's cousin simply grins and instructs him.

"Turning off the lights is as simple as clapping your hands," the scary voice stated.”

He was terrified. He was worried by the second incident. Someone outside seemed to have awakened him. He

observed someone, an elderly lady, when he stared intently through the window. He thinks it's just a beggar,

although it's late at night. He simply ignores it and falls asleep. He noticed his uncle's eyes on the television the

next morning. He's not sure what he's staring at up there. So, he inquires.

"Good morning, Uncle! How are you?"

His uncle's head moved slowly to face him, and he spoke.

"There is nothing. Breakfast is ready; let us eat.”

Peter and his relatives simply eat their breakfast. After that, he went for a walk and met a new friend named

Stella. She was a beautiful and fearless young lady. They had a long conversation.

"Hello, my name is Stella; what is yours?"

"My name is Peter."

"Are you new?"

"Oum!" he exclaims, "I was just taking a short break."

She showed him a special necklace that may protect her from ghosts or bad spirits before they parted ways.

Is that true? He inquires, intrigued.

"It does," she confirmed.

So, he touches it and instantly burns his finger. They were simply grinning at each other. Even though it was

their first day together, they had a terrific time. They parted ways and returned home as the sun set. Dinner is

ready, he returned. And he was surprised to see that their food was another fried leg of chicken. His auntie asks

the same question and laughs, while his uncle coughs many times. It felt like yesterday. Yesterday was a copied

day. He was perplexed by what was going on. So, he attempts to walk outdoors, but his uncle won't let him, so

she thought of a way to get away. He hid in the room and shut the door, but he was worried. However, it was

shattered by his twin sister's cousin. But he hurried away from the couch and into the main entrance. While the

home was on fire, his uncle and auntie, as well as his cousin's twin sister, were merely looking at him from the

inside. Fortunately, he had a new friend who could assist him.

"What happened to them?" her tearful companion inquires.

Peter, they were already dead.

"What?! But how exactly? "

"They died a long time ago, Peter." They were inadvertently burned inside while sleeping and did not survive."

Peter fled on his way home.

"Where would you go, Peter?" her friend wonders aloud.

Peter continued to run without answering her question. After an hour, he arrives at their house. His friend was

following him. And he noticed his mother sobbing.

"Mom, I'm here; I apologize for leaving without permission; I swear not to go again and to be a decent child."

But his mother was silent as if she didn't hear anything. And he saw his photo in his mother's hands as she cried.

And he recalled being slipped off to the floor at the moment he was snuck out to the field trip class. And when

he touched his head, there was a large cut on it. His mother cannot see him, but her friend can. He realized he

was already dead. As a result, her friend reveals to his mother that Peter was present and want to apologize.

"Peter said he wants to apologize for all he's done to you," Stella continued.

"I love you, Peter, wherever you are," replied his mother. who wants

Peter hugs his mother, and she freezes. His mother sobs with him.
