READ ALOUD

TASK: You will be given with a paragraph and you have to read the paragraph loud and clear.
PREPARATION TIME: 40 Seconds
RESPONSE TIME: 40 Seconds
INTEGRATION PATTERN: Reading & Speaking

In read aloud, each individual is evaluated in:

1. CONTENT
2. ORAL FLUENCY
3. PRONUNCIATIONS

1. CONTENT: Each paragraph contains words/group of words/sentences. Providing an accurate content

will contribute maximum marks towards READING MODULE.

Please remember: ACCURATE & CLEAR CONTENT∞READING MARKS

To gain maximum marks in content, test takers must focus on:

 Do not add anything extra in the content.
 Do not eliminate anything from the content.

2. ORAL FLUENCY: Reading the content at a regular pace will contribute maximum marks towards
SPEAKING.

Please remember: MAXIMUM ORAL FLUENCY∞SPEAKING MARKS

To gain maximum marks in Fluency, test takers must focus on:

 Do not introduce pauses.
 Always take very negligible natural pauses.
 Do not stutter or stammer.
 Do not hesitate.
 Do not try repeat anything if spoken wrong.
 READ LOUD AND CLEAR.

3. PRONUNCIATIONS: The way the content needs to be pronounced. Rendering the words ideally,
will provide accurate content and help gaining marks in the READING MODULE.
