Is consumerism really important in our society? Well, as we all know, consumerism is part
of our daily life, whether we like it or not, although it has its positive advantages, it also
has its negative advantages. On the one hand, I think that consumerism brings great
benefit to our society and is the high acquisitive power that can be achieved. Because of
this, there is a high movement of money in society. On the other hand, I think that
consumerism can greatly affect our society since the excessive use of natural resources
can affect us in the long term, all this without counting that the great participation that
people have in consumerism generates a high demand for waste. Now, what will happen
in the future? Well, I think in the future, people will be more likely to be more
consumerists than they are now. Although, we are in a society that is growing by leaps
and bounds, if we think about the future, there will be a great development, especially
technology. So in the future, we as people will be more immersed in consumerism due
especially to the digital world and connectivity.
