IMPORTANT
Please keep the plastic card your SIM came with. It contains your 3 mobile number and SIM
number which you’ll need later.
Your router is only compatible with Huawei Mobile Broadband USB Modems from 3, such
as the E220, E160G and E169.

Power On/Off
1 From your PC Desktop, click on Start, then Control Panel. If necessary, click
Switch to Classic View using the left menu.
2 Click Network Connections then click Wireless Network Connection.
3 Click View Wireless Networks to display the wireless network connections list.
4 Select the SSID (name of the wireless network). This will also be printed on a label
attached to your D100 Router.
5 Click Connect.
6 Enter the network key, which is also on your router, and click OK.
7 While your computer connects to your router, the wireless connection icon will be
displayed in your PC system tray. This icon will notify you when the connection
has been made.
NOTE
The SSID (name of the wireless network) and the
network key (security password for the wireless
network) will be displayed on a sticker on your
router. If you choose to change them, please keep a
note of the changes as you will need this information
to connect additional computers. Make a note of
your SSID number here:
1 On the Apple Mac, click the AirPort icon on the menu bar then click Turn AirPort On.
2 Click the AirPort icon once again and click on the SSID (name of the wireless network) as
shown on the router.
3 Enter the network key (security password for the wireless network) as shown on the
router and click OK.

1 Simply plug your ethernet cable into your PC, then connect to your router.

1 Start the internet browser and enter the address http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar.
2 Select a user type, enter the password and click Login.
Admin: The user type is authorised to view and change the configuration. The default
password is admin.
User: This user type is authorised to view only the basic status information. The default
password is user.
3 To change the Router Management Interface password, on the left menu click Advanced
Settings > System > Modify Password. Enter your new password and click Modify.

4 To change the SSID (name of the wireless network), on the left menu click Advanced
Settings > WLAN Settings > WLAN Basic Settings. In Name (SSID), enter a new SSID
(Name of the wireless network) and click Apply. At this point you will be automatically
disconnected from the router. You will then need to re-connect your computer to the
wireless network using the new SSID as shown on Page 8 (PC) or Page 9 (Mac).
5 To change the network key, on the left menu click Advanced settings > WLAN
Advanced Settings. Select your encryption mode and click Apply. You will then need
to re-connect your computer to the wireless network using the new encryption settings
as shown on Page 8 (PC) or Page 9 (Mac).
NOTE
To avoid a configurations conflict, only one user is allowed
access to the management page at any one time.

No networks found
> Connect to the router using the supplied
ethernet cable.
> Make sure that you have turned WLAN on in the
Management Interface.
> Make sure that SSID Broadcast is enabled in the
Management Interface.
> Reset the router.

Incorrect password
> You have entered the wrong password when
logging into the Management Interface. The default
passwords are ‘admin’ and ‘user’.
> Reset the router to factory settings to reset any
forgotten passwords.

> The use of electronic transmitting devices is forbidden on aircraft, at petrol stations and
in hospitals. Please observe and obey all warning signs and switch off your
3 D100 router in these conditions.
> Operating a portable PC and 3 D100 router may interfere with medical devices
like hearing aids and pacemakers.
> Be aware of warning signs in places such as oil refineries or chemical factories where
there are explosive gases or explosive products being processed.
> Store the 3 D100 router out of the reach of children. The 3 D100 router may
cause injury if used as a toy or may be damaged by rough play or moisture.
