Settings.
Why you may want to peek into your router settings.
The router contains many settings that can be used to change the security level of the wireless
connection or even turn off the wireless feature altogether. By turning off the wireless
connection it is still possible to connect to the web via the ethernet connection.
It is also possible for you to change the login password, to prevent others changing your
settings. If you do change the login password, be sure to make a note of it, or you won’t be able
to get in again.
Other settings that can be adjusted include firewall settings. The firewall protects your
computer(s) from incoming connections, so take care when adjusting these as opening up ports
can make your computer vulnerable to attack.
