SPCC Art Club Bylaws Pa South Piedmont Community College Art Club (2018-2019) Article |= Name ‘This organization shall be known as the South Piedmont Community College Art Club. (Art Club) Arti Pu The purpose of the Art club will be to: 1. Make the SPCC Art Program more visible inside the college and in the community. 2. Help SPCC Art students become involved with the community through art related events, 3. Provide the opportunity to collaborate between different disciplines inside the college, bringing together all who are interested in art. 4, Provide a venue to exchange creative ideas and promote cultural awareness and inclusivity. 5. Encourage imagination and creativity. 6. Encourage initiative, leadership, and Teamwork. 7. Cultivate a sense of community, centered on art culture and service. ticle JJ - Mem! Membership in the SPCC Art Club is open to all SPCC students, part-time and full- time, Art and non-Art majors. ficle IV - Art Clu 1. The officers of the SPCC Art Club shall create an Executive Board consisting of the President, the Vice President, and the Secretary. SPCC Art Club Bylaws P2 2. All officers are elected by membership majority vote in April and assume office at the beginning of the fall semester. Article V — Duties of Executive Board 1. The Executive Board will make recommendations, which will be submitted to the membership body for voting, 2. ‘The Executive board may appoint committees for various events and activities. 3. G ea ‘Take and present minutes at each chapter meeting Maintain the Art Club calendar of events Maintain the contact information/roster of active members Participate in the committee to review and/or revise the bylaws annually SPCC Art Club Bylaws P3 ‘ic: AI A The Art Club Advisor shall be the director of Fine and Performing Arts at SPCC or other SPCC employee. She/He shall be a non-voting member of the Art Club. Artic] it = S Art Club meeting will consist of two categories: business meetings and special meetings 1. Business meetings shall happen at least two times per semester (at the beginning and at the end of each semester). 2. Business Meeting shall follow the general agenda Call to order b. Roll call c. Special meetings shall be called for special events, Reports of each special meeting shall be given to the members at the following Art Club business meeting Article VIII - Finances 1, Finances will be raised by projects voted on hy a majority of the members. 2, ‘The Art Club will conduct a maximum of four fundraising events per semester, only one of which can be a bake sale. SPCC Art Club Bylaws P4 Article IX - Amendments and Modifications 1. The bylaws may be amended and/or modified by a 2/3rds vote of the Art, Club members. 2. Art Club bylaw Amendments and Modifications may not conflict with SPCC policies and rules.
